Yep, Four Breasts

► It's a really odd feeling when you can't tell if you're depressed or if you're coming down with a cold or the flu. As such, the past several days have been rather weird for me with a mix of fatigue, body aches and slight aching in my throat and chest, along with feeling groggy.

Dad's away out of town with Claire and some friends for a few days, so I might end up avoiding leaving the apartment for another week. That's fine because I was able to get Dean to pick up a few groceries for me today, so there's no dire need for me to get out. Incidentally, she's staying home from work for the next few days. I've honestly lost count, but I believe she's now missed five weeks of work in a row and is on her sixth week. Swear she's turning into me. I just hope she can pull herself together before it's too late because we can not afford to keep the apartment or pay bills if she isn't getting paid.

Hmm, maybe it has been depression.

Since I haven't felt like hanging out on the computer much, I've spent the past several days watching DVD sets. I finished my new Chuck: Season 3 set in less than two days and then decided to re-watch my copy of The Mentalist: Season 1. After that finished I started The Mentalist: Season 2 but stopped after a few episodes because I realized I must have watched the set twice already since I got it a year ago (that, or I've just seen a few specific episodes several times on television reruns or when Dean's borrowed the set).

► Last Thursday when Dad stopped by he asked me to look for and order a few DVDs for him on Amazon.ca. After we found a few that he wanted he told me to order them and to also order a fourth for myself. There was one DVD I wanted but at $23 I figured it was too expensive but he said it was fine and to order it.

That DVD and one of the three for Dad arrived this morning. I got Roger Corman's Cult Classics: Sword & Sorcery Collection, which features four early 80s schlocky barbarian movies. The films are Deathstalker, Deathstalker II, Barbarian Queen, and The Warrior and the Sorceress.

When I opened the package I was actually disappointed because I had mistakenly thought the fourth title was 1982's The Sword and the Sorcerer, which I've long wanted to see. The disappointment was short-lived, however, when I watched The Warrior and the Sorceress earlier today. The lead actress (the titular Sorceress) spends the entire movie topless, and one notable scene features a surprisingly convincing four breasted exotic dancer. Take that Total Recall!

Doctor Who - DateS (Plural), Art and More for 'The 6th Series, Part 2' and 'The Complete 6th Series' - The set a date for the release of the complete Doctor Who: Series 6 DVD set, November 22nd! Yay!

Lunchboxes from Brandon Bird: Eric Roberts and Gran Torino lunchboxes - When and why the hell did they stop making Thermos lunchboxes?

20 Things You Might Not Know About the Muppets' Movies - It's true! I actually did not know all of these trivia facts.

Adult Swim: How to Make a Mockbuster (in Five Easy Steps) - Because someone has to make movies about megalodons and giant octopuses fighting to the death.

► I love you, Nettie Harris.
