Superman comic book costume: The red trim on the new comic book Superman costume don't bother me, since it's a very minor change. Really, my only real objection with the comic book relaunch costume is the high militaristic collar, and all of the seemingly nonsensical piping. Erase the collar and remove the piping and I'd be fine with the suit.

One detail I don't understand with the suit is why they made a point to remove the red shorts only to give him piping that indicates the presence of the shorts. Seems odd to me.

Superman movie costume: The sweeping "things" on the sides and back of the movie costume just look out of place to me. They don't look like they're planned or properly part of the costume, but instead look like some "flair" added just to put something dramatic and different on an otherwise alright costume. Really they look as tacky and out of place as red flames painted on a Ferrari. My suggestion for the movie suit is that those details and the gauntlet/buffs are completely unnecessary, so they should be removed, and replace the floating belt buckle with a thick red belt ala the new comic book suit.

There's no reason to be so busy when streamlined and simple looks better.

Ghostbusters: You're right in that we know nothing about the plot, but I agree with the author in that seeing the Ghostbusters so broken down and fat and disabled is not what I want from a new movie. Introducing a younger generation of Ghostbusters is inevitable, but it doesn't mean the older characters need to be subjected to being decrepit jokes sitting on the sidelines of their own movie.
