Didn't Expect That...
► I know it seems like I've gone nuts these last few weeks, bidding and buying on Ebay. But in all honest I haven't actually won or bought anything on the site in almost 2 weeks (11 days). In fact, I've lost the last 8 auctions I've bid on. As I had mentioned in an entry a couple of days ago, I had 5 auctions ending this weekend, with 3 ending today. I had presumed I'd lose each given my bad luck of late, but as I had pointed out in that journal entry, statistically I should win 1 of them.
So far that's turning out to be true. To keep myself from checking the 3 auctions ending today every few minutes and obsessing, I stayed off line all morning and early afternoon. When I did sign on at 2:00pm, I was stunned to discover I actually won the very auction I wanted the most: Red Sonja by M.Doug. I've bid on several Red Sonja drawings since I signed up for Ebay several weeks ago, and this is the very first I've won. What surprised me even more is that I won it for only $17.50 (I had a max bid of $31), when all the other drawings of her have gone much higher. I also got a discount on the shipping and handling because I had bought that Ms. Marvel drawing from the seller's website the other day. So that's good too.
And I did lose the other 2 auctions that ended today, and still expect to lose the 2 that end tomorrow afternoon (I bid low on all 4 of those).
► The Full 52 DCU Titles Revealed - All right, so that's it. So far the titles I'm going to ask to have added to my pull list are:► Batgirl
► Action Comics
► Superman
► Stormwatch (silly costumes aside)
I'm also interested in the relaunched Aquaman, Justice League, Justice League Dark, Hawk & Dove, Blackhawks, and All-Star Western titles, but I think it'll be tough enough jumping from 1 title (Power Girl, canceled as of August) to 4 titles.
► STEVEMCGHEEdotCOM: Digital disaster art - Pretty damn impressive work, and only mildly disturbing.
► Telenovela Actress Gaby Ramirez Goes Wonder Woman Desnuda for Playboy - Twenty-four/twenty-five pictures of professionally shot topless Wonder Woman cosplay. Is she actually peeling off that painted on bustier, or is it digital?
► kate or die!: I was going to save this for tomorrow, but I just... - I thought this was an amusing Spider-Man 4-panel comic strip. Spider-Man does duck face!
► AmazingSuperPowers: Webcomic at the Speed of Light - Telephone Call - Another amusing webcomic.
► Fit For a Goddess workshop w/ Jenyne Butterfly - My second thought was "geez, she must be really strong." My first thought was "guuuuuuh..."
