Superman Rocks
► So tomorrow is the Rapture huh? Does that mean we'll finally be rid of all those religious fanatics?
► Last night I got the idea to compile a list of my 10 favourite Superman moments for a journal entry. After thinking of 7 I was stuck and posted about it on Facebook. This exchange was the result, which I saved for posterity (I censored our full names "just in case":
Derek: it occurs to me, if the Superman moments thread was on your facebook profile instead of mine there would probably be actual participation beyond just you and me :-)

► 9 Extremely Impractical Marvel Illustrated Swimsuits - I remember when these originally came out, although I only ever heard of them after they were already released and not available anymore. Thinking about it now, I'm not even sure if my comic book shop actually got them. Anyway, I've seen a few of these images scanned online over the years, and I have to say I always liked that Medusa pic and outfit (perv that I am). She's naked and covering herself with her hair. She's the queen. What does she need a suit for?
That said, the Namor drawing and outfit is disturbing beyond all reason. Pure Lovecraftian horror from the blackest inky depths of the oceans and human subconscious. **shudder**
► Casting News for THE HOBBIT - Peter Jackson announced that Stephen Fry has been cast as The Master of Laketown! Beyond briefly reading about the character on Wikipedia, I don't really know what the role is (not having read my copy of the Hobbit in the 10+ years I've owned it), but I love Fry.
► Exclusive Poster Debut - 'The Muppets'! - This makes both the 4 year old and 34 year old me very happy. It's actually happening!
► Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Social Media: Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse - Wait... what? Is this thing real?
Oh shit...
► Doctor Who: "Solid Advice" - I laughed hard at this.
