Waiting...

► Yep, another day without going out. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get to Walmart. I'm almost out of my calcium supplements (which I was prescribed last October) and need fresh bread and groceries on top of other necessities.

It's just harder trying to sync my nerves with Dean's moods. At least there's only four and a half weeks to go until Dad gets back from his golf trip. Oh, and the landlord dropped off our 2010 rent receipts for income tax, so that's one less thing to worry about.

► After waiting 5 weeks, Amazon finally sent me notice that they're having trouble getting copies of Ms. Marvel Volume 1 and Ms. Marvel Volume 3 to fulfill my order. As such, they split the 2 books and added an additional one to two month wait for the first volume, and now list the third without any shipping estimate at all. That's because it's no longer available through them, although they're apparently still "searching". Frustrated, I finally gave up and canceled the books and reordered them individually through two different seller stores. They're already listed as "shipping soon".

I'm actually getting the books for $2-3 cheaper than I would have from Amazon.ca. That said, with Amazon it's a one day wait once the books ship, and it's a crapshoot as to how long it'll take to get them from the sellers via regular mail. Especially since on is shipping from a warehouse in the UK.

16 movie poster traditions that need to die in a horrible fire - Aww, but I like arses. That said, the orange and teal look has to go. Ugh.

Charlie Sheen Quotes Presented by Superheroes - Charlie Sheen and Frank Miller should collaborate on a comic book.

101 reasons to love Nicolas Cage - Charlie Sheen is a Johnny-come-lately amateur. Nic Cage has been perfecting the fine art of eccentricity for decades. Although I totally would have imported a castle. Gargoyles, man.

23 of the world's geekiest sci-fi and fantasy statues - The Tokyo Gundam statue is awesome. The Chinese knock-off statue looks like an Easter basket nightmare.

Jane Russell, Sex Symbol of 1940s and '50s, Dies - We have so few film icons from the 40s left nowadays (off the top of my head, Lauren Bacall, Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine and Kirk Douglas). Here's a photo tribute to the woman for whom Howard Hughes invented a new bra.
