That's Not A Complaint

► Is it weird to have a female friend send you hentai videos?

► Today was the day the family was to go to Kingston for a small surprise birthday party for my maternal grandmother. As mentioned before my aunt excused me from having to go since my agoraphobia and nerves haven't let me make the 2 hour trip in 15 years. However, I ended up not spending the day alone because my older sister stayed home. There was an incident with her boyfriend last night and suffice to say they're done and she's shaken up by what happened. Hopefully she'll be fine tomorrow at work, because she has no days left to miss for the year.

I talked to Dad briefly when he dropped by early this afternoon to pick up our gift from my grandmother. My sister had left a phone message for him saying she wasn't going. I explained that she was upset because she had a spat with the boyfriend the night before and they had broken up. Since Dad's going away tomorrow for 3 days I didn't go into any details. Don't want him to spend the time worrying.

Hoping things will be fine now and that they're really over and both move on.

Sylvester Stallone says he has an idea for 'Expendables 2' - I'd like some Van Dammage please.

What went wrong with 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' and why it should scare moviefans - A month ago I've reading how Michael Cera is brilliant and the 21st Century Buster Keaton. Today he's box-office poison. It's a fickle world.

I have to agree with their notion that the motivation and point of the movie seemed off. I can understand a hero fighting to save his true love. That's the stuff of classic adventure movies and literature. But fighting 7 bad guys to the death for an apathetic chick who may or may not even like the lead? Maybe movie goers were put off by the hipster mentality.

► Speaking of Edgar Wright movies... Edgar Wright to Make ANT-MAN a “Bad-Ass Secret Agent” - Goddammit.

Jon Stewart Immortalized in Stormtrooper Form - That's a lot cooler than the old mail-order "personalized" G.I. Joe figure with the permanent helmet and generic code name. It was easier just to take figures apart and make new ones yourself.

Superheroes of today are 'bad role models': Leading child psychologist claims characters such as Iron Man are selling adolescent boys 'a narrow version of masculinity' - Funny that the supposed lightning rod for bad superheroes of today is a 47 year old character.

► As promised in the comments section of yesterday's journal entry, nude pics of Cassandra Peterson's early 70s pre-Elvira days. A red goddess.
