► Tonight I ordered from Riverside Pizzeria for the first time in a couple of years (it's a local restaurant, not a chain). I got a large pizza (pepperoni, no cheese, extra sauce), not expecting it to be so huge, and ate 2 thirds. I can't remember the last time I've felt so damn thirsty.
► The computer has continued to be a pain in the ass all weekend, but I'm managing it. Near constant virus and malware scans galore. God, I hate dealing with this crap.
To make matters more irritating, my phone and internet service keeps dropping out on me, making it that much harder for me to tell if my browsers aren't working because of viruses or the crappy ISP. I should call them up and give them a stern talking to.
► Is 7 months too long to have waited to send Warner Brothers an email of complaint about paying full price for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on DVD and it having no subtitles or closed-captioning for the hearing impaired? I had meant to write a letter back in December but I kept forgetting. That I paid nearly $30 for the DVD only to find I can't understand most of the dialog was such a disappointment. A really unexpected one too, since the previous 5 films all had subtitles and captions.
I hold grudges.
► Yesterday, Darren, mon frère, finally brought over that air conditioner he and my sister-in-law offered to lend us. I was taking a shower and kept hearing the phone ring. When I got out of the shower it started a third series of rings, so I rushed naked to answer it. Darren was apparently outside and had been for several minutes. Turns out he broke a toe on his right foot at work Friday* so I had to throw on some jeans and run downstairs and across to the street** to carry the air conditioner up to the apartment myself.
Darren hooked up the unit fairly quickly and turned it on. Works fine, but I turned it off after 20 minutes because there was a strong breeze outside and Deana and I decided it'd be best to only use it when it's really hot. We don't want our electric bill to suddenly skyrocket.
* He normally wears steel toed boots at work (he does maintenance and repair at an RV dealership), only he put on sneakers because of the heat. Not surprisingly that was the day a compartment decided to come loose on the trailer he was fixing and slice down on his foot. Lucky he didn't have his toes chopped of.
** I'm sure the new neighbours across the street were disturbed to see my hairy, sickly pale, formless bare chest as I ran towards their direction. Those poor bikini clad 20somethings.
► Just read
Superman #700, the first issue of
J. Michael Straczynski's controversal (among us comics geeks) new 12 issue "
Superman walks around the USA" storyline. I actually enjoyed the issue.

What’s With Marvel Alienating Actors? - Assholes running studios in Hollywood? Shocking!

Major League Star James Gammon Dies at 70 - Movies will never be as lovably gruff without

Thor: new image - Is this a

►
Simon Pegg set for Mission: Impossible IV? - Whoa... whoa...
Brad Bird is directing it? Uh... did
I already know this but forgot? Probably. Still, I hope
Paramount doesn't get cold feet because of
Knight and Day's lackluster box office, and this does get made.

Bruce Willis Fights Back In Rug Legal Battle - Please! Please! No bald jokes. ...after that one.
