► For some time now I've been wanting to rename my LiveJournal. How does "Piss And Vinaigrette: Tales Of A No Grade Agoraphobic" sound?
Well, it's just the first idea.

Amanda/Nettie Harris, I love you! Whether as
Nettie on DeviantART, or Mona on
ATKhairy.*
* I've been meaning to post a small tribute to Nettie/Amanda/Mona of some of her ATKhairy pics for a few months now. Maybe someday.

Judd Winick Humors "Power Girl" -
Winick keeps saying the right things to assuage my worries about his writing
Power Girl. Pee Gee should be a brassy, funny gal and not swathed in soap opera melodrama. But as they say (they do still say it, right?): the proof is in the pudding.

Michael Jackson's dad files wrongful death suit - One year since his death and their still milking him for all they can. Saw a snippet on TV earlier about how in the past year
Michael Jackson's estate earned over $1 billion.
Brings to mind last December when
A&E kept commercials running around the clock for the
Jackson Family reality show that started with images from Michael's memorial service and reactions of grief to suddenly switch to showing the Jacksons cheerful and happily continuing on! Ahh, sweet exploitation.

Mel Gibson files restraining order against ex-girlfriend - Maybe
Mel would have benefited from listening
to her former boyfriend last year:'But Grigorieva, who previously dated Timothy Dalton, has come under fire from another former partner, businessman Alan Bergman, who claims the brunette dumped him as soon as she met the James Bond star.
He says, "She married a guy and they lived in a council house. I had more money and she left him and moved in with me.
"She then met Timothy Dalton at a party we went to, and within a week had moved in with him. She's a lovely girl but a bit of an opportunist." '
► When I first heard that they were filming an American remake of one of my favourite French comedies,
The Dinner Game (Le dîner de cons) I was disappointed and resigned to it sucking. When I saw in the latest Vanity Fair magazine that they tout the remake,
Dinner For Schmucks, as being better than the original I was insulted. But now that I've seen the trailer online I'm shocked. It looks like a completely different movie that only borrows the barest plot of the original and blows it up broadly over the top. Seriously, it looks demented, as if the
Marx Brothers rose from the dead and started making modern comedies. Now, God help me, I actually really want to see the movie. Of course this is based on a trailer, so it's possible I'll end up disappointed, resigned, and insulted.
