► In the rush to expel all the verbal diarrhea in my previous post I forgot to mention that in addition to groceries I did pick up 2 DVDs at Walmart. I had previously said that I've been looking forward to getting the 2-disc
Star Trek movie DVD today, but had resigned myself to waiting until the end of the month. Seeing the display stand when we got into the store, and how more than half of the slots were already empty at 11:00am, I decided to just bite the bullet and get the movie. That said, I couldn't rationalize spending $29 on the 2-disc DVD when the $24 single disc was marked down first day/one day only to $17.50. On the back it said the single disc had the director commentary track so that made it easier.
Besides, what do I need with the digital copy of the movie (which is the selling point of the 2-disc)?
Also picked up
K-19: The Widowmaker for $6.88 afterward on the way to the checkout line. I haven't seen the movie, but that's never stopped me before. Besides, it's
Harrison Ford, my long time favourite, and he plays a Russian submarine commander. That's something I have to see at least once. Seriously, is there any modern movie star more American than Harrison Ford?
► For those following along at home, that's 6 DVDs so far for the month of November. The insanity of mid August through October seems to have abated.
► Lately I keep thinking of updating my Amazon.ca Wishlist and making it public. But then I wonder why? Isn't it a bit presumptuous? Also, where the hell would I even post it? Seems silly and possibly greedy to me.
► Two days ago...Talison: The most interesting part of that
Avatar trailer is when it says, "From the director of Terminator."
Derek: it looks like a CGI version of
FerngullyTalison: Yes, yes it does
Talison: Well stated

Exclusive: Smallville movie gets a title! - An actual superhero looking superhero costume? I might actually have to watch this when it airs in February.
► I seriously need to cut my hair. I'm starting to look like a Rebel extra from the first
Star Wars film.
