Computer Problems, Again
► If there's one think I hate about computers, it's dealing with computer problems. Got myself a trogan/worm/virus thingie this morning and have been spending the day (off and on) trying to get rid of it. Every time I think it's gone, I reboot and find it's back. Can't even get into Safe Mode.
I seem to have gotten a nasty EXE file that downloads itself (without any prompting) and they takes over the system claiming to be an anti-virus program. Trying to open anything gives you alerts that a bogus worm called "Lsas.Blaster.Keylogger" has infected any and all programs (even Task Manager) and if you enter your credit card number you can buy the program to delete it. I'll probably be working through the night trying to get rid of this.
This just reconfirms my desire to get a 1 terabyte external hard drive so I can move all my stuff off of the computer. I really wouldn't want to lose my Bush League character designs.
► Dean's begun rewatching her Miami Vice DVDs. Growing up, I always thought the show was rather silly, despite it's attempts to take itself and everything oh so seriously. Actually, maybe that's why. I mean, every few episodes they're undercover in different major criminal organizations and able to not only get to the top, but not get recognized. Just a silly, silly show.
Speaking of Dean, she had a friend over tonight. He's a chain smoker. After he left I opened my door and my room actually filled with haze. Opening my window and running my box fan seemed to help clear the air. Although since it's in the middle of the night (as I type this), late October, and raining out, it's now really cold in here. Deems the breaks.
► To cheer me up, net friend Talison sent me links to 2 Jennifer Love Hewitt "banned" jeans commercials from a few years ago. Since I loves Love, I thought I'd post them.
I sure like watching her walk. You know, I'd like to get an address to write a fan letter to Hewitt, and maybe get a signed photo. That'd be neat.
