► As predicted, I didn't go out today with Dad. I was just too much of a wreck earlier today. Nerves seem a bit better tonight, so that's good.
► Disturbing. We had a juice pitcher that has a plunger connected to the lid. It's basically a built in mixer to mix juice in the jug. The jug was last used last month to make grape Kool-Aid. Unfortunately after the jug was emptied it was put on the counter and forgotten about for nearly a week. Unsanitary, I know. By that time the little remnants of juice had gone putrid and the jug turned rank. I gave it a very, very thorough scrubbing and washing and it still smelled stinky. Figured airing it would do some good.
Last week I bought several things of sugar free orange Kool-Aid and decided tonight to make a jug. Sadly I found that the good pitcher still smells a bit rank. Rewashed it again, and the smell is still mildly there. It's the best pitcher we have, and it's the most handy, so I really don't want to keep myself from using it. Figuring that the smell is just the plastic now and not symptom of mildew or "badness" still being in the container, I made a pitcher of juice.
Just had a glass. So far so good. Hopefully the smell of the container will fade, as I don't think it's affected the juice just yet. Although I am feeling a little bleah. Damn psychosomatic neurosis!
► Getting worried. Since this is the last month of our 1 year lease on the apartment Deana wrote out 12 checks for the next year, first one due September 1st. Problem is we haven't seen or been able to contact the landlord, and Dad said he'd bring the checks by his home, but no one has been there the few times he's tried. Making me more worried and paranoid about something happening and losing the apartment. Especially since the 3 other apartments have each changed tenants in the year we've been here, 1 of them twice.
So much for trying to relax.

Paris Hilton is guest starring on Supernatural? Dear God no! That and
this might be last year for the show? That makes me a sad panda.
