Giet's no dog! He's a Grand Galf, king of Galves.

[Giet gets close and snuffles at the microphone until Moses nudges him away.]

Ain't heard your voice before. Name's Moses, nice to meet ya.

So, then... What's a "Grand Galf"?

Grand Galves're strong critters where I come from. You got your normal Galf but they'd run with their tail between their legs when they see their big brothers. They're kinda like a dog but these ones'd take a bite outta you if they're hungry enough.

[Giet growls, almost in irritation at that implication which Moses merely laughs at.] Me, I'm a beast tamer. Giet'n I've been together since we were pups. I saved him'n he saved me, been together ever since.

They definitely sound pretty strong. [And that is such a neat story. Claude sounds impressed.] So you two have known each other for a long time. You must be really good friends.

Sure as hell hope not. Was kinda fun once you knew they couldn't start really hurtin' you bad. Still like 'em all better bein' stuck in the Dome, myself.

[Moses makes a small noise.] Time sure does fly, don't it? Talked to a few who've been here a year, some of 'em people I know from back home. It ever get easier to just sit here'n take what them Malnosso do to us?

I think I like them better there, too. [They were a heck of a lot less troublesome when they weren't running around the village all day.]

I don't know if it gets easier, but things sure do stop surprising you after a while. So you know people here from your own world, too?

Glad you've got at least one friend. Things're better when you got people you know goin' through it with ya. [He snorts lightly.] 'Course, bein' in this kinda place, don't think they'd be thankin' you for draggin' 'em here.

So what's Leon like? Y'know, in case I ever run into him.

Yeah. I don't think I'd ever ask for any of them to be brought here just because of me. But it is a lot easier with your friends around.

Hm... Well, he's kind of short. He has blue hair, and blue eyes... Blue wings, too! [There's a pause. What else?] Oh! And he has ears like a cat.

Much as I want Senel here, dunno if he'd thank me. His lady's here so maybe I'm wrong 'bout that.

[Now that does surprise him.] Cat ears? He's half cat?

I guess you'll just have to look out for her in his place until he shows up, then.

Sort of, yeah. He's a Fellpool. He doesn't really act like a cat, but he does like it if you scratch behind his ears.

[He pauses at that, trying to imagine a human acting like a cat at all.] Wait, you go 'round scratchin' his ears? Can't imagine somethin' like that. Most we got is Oresoren, kinda like big, fat otters that can talk.
