I had such a good weekend!
First and foremost, I had my Brian, which is always wonderful and amazing. Even better, he brought presents!!! I have a gorgeous new camera, and while I will always mourn my old camera which went through so much and to so many places with me... it's impossible not to love the new fully-loaded version. I have named it Frederick, and it's a GORGEOUS new Canon powershot S5IS. I think it may be love.
He also brought me a badass new set of speakers (mine were lame) and a slim little wireless router to replace the one Ben gave me if/when it chooses to die for good. It was like christmas!!!
The first night we just spent in, which was something we both really needed. The next day we hit up Spice (our favorite) with Joyce and her friend John. After that was the Met with Joyce, John, and Alan, and I got to break in Frederick <3
The Met had the new Jeff Koons exhibit on the roof...fan-tas-tic. I adored it. We all enjoyed the hip vibe of everyone drinking, smoking, and observing the artwork on the roof. Alan rolled a pack of lucky strikes into his shirtsleeve a la James Dean. It was a good time.
Brian actually ended up missing his train and was forced to spend another night here (I was ecstatic) which we joyfully wasted eating haagen daz and watching classic Star Wars.
