[After a rather nasty encounter on his way home - spoiler alert: Lucy decided he needed to be attacked by a rather vicious dog - Zevran isn't exactly in the best shape...though he does make it all the way to his house, bloody and injured as he is. Housemates may find him on the phone, possibly dripping a bit of blood on the floor, and for everyone ( Read more... )

A heated midnight tryst with a vicious dog.

And this happened at that party?! Please tell me you've gotten some offers of assistance by now... [Otherwise, she's headed over there and patching you up.]

I didn't realize they had warhounds here in Mayfield.

On my way home from it. The attack was likely orchestrated by the young girl of the family - Lucy, I think they called her?

No mabari, but it still had plenty of teeth. I'm not certain they do have dogs like that in Mayfield, however, so perhaps it was placed there specifically for me.

...a little girl set a dog after you? [There's a bit of incredulity in her voice, not because she thinks he's lying but at the sheer strangeness of the idea.]

What kind of child is this "Lucy," attacking people in such a way?

One of the drones - and clearly much more than she seems, at that.

But yes; she drew a picture of it, and then it happened. Knowing this town, I cannot simply accept it as coincidence.

I wouldn't, either. That's absolutely dreadful! [She sounds like an Abomination, actually. Not too unlike Connor.]

You never answered my question about whether or not you've gotten help.

Ah, compassion and beauty. What more could a man ask for?

But since you ask, yes, I have.

Sorry I dropped the ball for three days :( bard_of_orlais October 8 2010, 08:56:03 UTC
Well, why wouldn't I be worried about you? We did spend quite a long time together with the Warden, no? You become attached.

I am glad to hear that.

Careful, Leliana. Comments like that might give me hope for us yet~

Nonetheless, I am grateful to hear that it seems the persistent suspicions about my intentions have finally been laid to rest. Granted, I had to slaughter an Archdemon to do it, but that was hardly out of my way!

I meant platonically, Zevran. [Really, she should have seen that answer coming.]

Helping to save the world does have a way of getting people to trust you. Not killing any of us in our sleep does, too. I think in some ways, it was the latter more than the former; it wasn't like you didn't have opportunities.

Ah, well. You never know when you might change your mind, my dear.

Would it be strange to say that the opportunities themselves stayed my hand? You were all suspicious of me, even brought up the possibility of my cutting your throats in the night - yet you slept regardless. Perhaps uneasily, but even from the first you showed more trust than I had expected. It was...a strange feeling. I considered the possibility of it once or twice, but I had never been given any such trust at all; it felt wrong to violate it, however tenuous.

Of course, there is the distinct possibility that it was more necessity than trust, and you were all simply too tired to keep a full-time watch on me. But I will take what I can get.
