A short journey, perhaps, but one hell of a ride. [laughs]
Exactly because most do not target him. [in a more serious tone] Truthfully, while I had heard he was dangerous, I still know very little about him. I wanted to test him. And, in any case, Grady and the Mayor are usually spoken of in the same breath, and may need to be removed at the same time for any efforts to be effective. The milkman is a single target, and thus an ideal choice for a single assassin.
The sentiment is wasted on me, sorry. But thanks for playing~
[Her tone turns more serious after a quick chuckle.]
Were you here when Westport opened up? The milkman was there and I think most people overlooked his involvement. He walked around through the toxic air like nothing was wrong, delivering milk, and even had a hand in how I died stuck there.
Westport was before I first arrived here, or so I understand. I suppose I am lucky to have missed it, but all the same, I wish I knew more about the event; many have mentioned it, but most are reluctant to speak of what happened there.
It was fucking awful. Trapped, no food, men in suits wielding axes... I was only a kid when I was there, but it fucked me up pretty bad at the time. Frankly, I still have nightmares about it. [There's an audible shudder in her voice.]
Still, what was found will probably end up being one of our biggest keys to figuring out what happened here. Do you know the... shit. Major General? That's right. I think she has most of the information compiled.
My point, though -- the milkman was there. I want to know more about him.
[There's a moment of silent surprise as Zevran tries to work out the disconnect between Margot's being a kid in Westport and sounding like a grown woman now, but having just experienced a return-to-his-own-world time lapse, he figures out the only possible explanation fairly quickly. Mayfield does require some non-linear thinking, doesn't it?] Even the most capable I have met who experienced it were clearly disconcerted by it; I imagine it would have been far worse for a child.
Olivier? Yes, I am working with her. One of the many, at least. [light chuckle] But it hits close to home even for her.
On that point - perhaps you can tell me what is wrong with the milk? Everyone says not to drink it, but I have yet to find out why. Of course, I had only just arrived when it was first mentioned, and I had many more pressing questions to ask at the time...
As cruel as it sounds, I think it's time we all just sucked it up and went home.
I got the same warnings and never thought to try it, but in Westport... The milkman droned me. He had given me yogurt and I felt compelled to give it to the people that I knew, saving the last bit for myself.
It was poisoned and I died stumbling through the streets.
Still, from what I saw when I shot at him...attacking him directly is useless, at least by conventional means. Perhaps the matter needs to be approached from another angle.

Hmm...have we met? I never forget a beautiful voice.

We haven't. Not formally.

My name is Zevran. And yours, my dear woman...?

So you tried to shoot the milkman, huh? That's brave of you.

Ah, a charitable heart to accompany the beautiful voice! 'Idiotic' is how most have described it, you see.

Most don't target the milkman. It's either Grady or the mayor, but... Given some things, I could see it. Why did you choose him?
