So, I spent all day Sunday in a Jeep driving to Arkansas with like 375 bikers. It was to raise money for D.A.R.E. so my mom and I drove down there with her friend Brandi, who has a 2007 Jeep with 35" tires and a 2 1/2" inch lift on it. The bikers were all really nice and there were some really cool looking Harley Davidson bikes down there. We had a couple Greene County Sherrif's deputies on motorcycles at the front of the group and then a couple more in a car at the back of the group. The Highway Patrol and the Sherrif's department had all the on/exit ramps blocked off, so we had a straight shot down 65 to Arkansas, and people would gather on the overpasses to wave at us.
After we got to the Hub in Arkansas and had lunch with the bikers, some of Brandi's friends wanted to go driving around and off roading in the Jeeps, and wanted us to come. It started off as Brandi's friend in his Jeep, us in Brandi's Jeep, another friend of a friend in their Jeep, and Dave Hines from US 97 in his Jeep. When we stopped for gas, 2 more Jeeps joined us and then when we stopped at our first point of interest 3 more Jeeps joined in, so out of the 12 Jeeps that drove down there, 9 of them ended up going on this separate little adventure. We ended up goign to Mt. Judea, which is the tallest mountain in the Ozarks and stands about 12,000 feet above sea level. It's tall enough that on Scenic Point, you can see Missouri 40 miles to the north.
It was fun, but I ended up getting a sunburn.
