The light at the end of the tunnel...

...turned out to be an oncoming train.

We've been working on saving for our planned trip to England and Ireland at the end of the summer with the goal looking manageable and getting to be within our grasp. Apparently someone broke the news to our car that when we go we wouldn't be bringing it with us and it must have felt neglected and jealous. Thus far recently we've had the serpentine belt break and replaced, the transmission needing to be serviced and recalibrated, a belt tensioner replaced, brake rotors getting warped needing replacement and I still need to replace my windshield due to it being a rock magnet. The tally thus far has been about $1k with another $250-500 to go.

Today the plan was to attend the renaissance faire, but those plans got scrubbed after I spent the morning and a good portion of the afternoon in the auto service department.

oofdah.
