Death brings people together..
but dammit, I always hope to reconnect with folks over better circumstances. Yesterday the therian community lost one of our founding members. Which lead to a shit ton of old faces (myself included) appearing in the old irc channel to reconnect and do the whole show of support for Jakkal in the face of Bowtie's unexpected departure.
It was like stepping back in time to the early 00's when we were at our peak. Most of us have moved on to other things (several of us surprisingly have found ourselves more involved with the furry side of things than the therian side lately) but for that one day, we all came home.
People like to say furries band together when things go to shit, I'm rather pleased to see the Therian community due the same.
People come and go, but there's something deeper that keeps us connected. And I have to thank Bow for that, even if he and I butted heads often over his methods.
