Christmas Cheer

Greg and I have just come back from our first Magical Christmas vacation. It was a visit to my relatives back in Nova Scotia. We actually paid nearly 2000 dollars for plane tickets to hang around with them for a week and a half. We actually had some fun.

We boarded the plane in the afternoon of Dec 21st, on Air Canada. They're not all that great, and we had problems getting seating together, and weren't able to sit together on the flight from Toronto to Halifax. I ended up sitting next to a guy who was into his movies and a guy who was really jonesing for a smoke.

We arrived 2am the next morning, and Dad picked us up. Nick (my stepbrother) was also with him. He's a fairly nice kid, and a good balance to 4 year old William (half brother) who screams and patters around like all 4 year olds do. Kris (stepmother) was nice as usual and she and Dad cooked some nice Christmas food. I had a chance to do some drawings which Nick was awestruck by.

On Christmas Eve Dad dropped Greg and I off to see Mom. Her house is a surprisingly nice looking farm house in 'Paradise' which is a nowhere place in the Annapolis Valley. Mom has 2 dogs now, named Yukon and Shiloh. They're nice dogs, but Shiloh's kind of stupid and likes to jump on people. My allergies went haywire. That wasn't something I missed from leaving home, that's for sure. I got some Benedryl from the drug store and I was nice and sedated for much of that part of the vacation. We got presents from both parents, which were kept in a new suitcase that I bought.

There was no internet at Mom's place. It doesn't surprise me as she hates technology and has no need for it. Incidentily some of the emails and other things kind of collected when we got home.

Speaking of which, that suitcase was lost in travel. We're going to get it delivered to the apartment tomorrow, which is the least they can do for that. We rented a car because we need it for the next half of the vacation, which includes doing some mega scary mountain driving in order to do some legal stuff with Greg's name changing in the states. We figured to make a little road trip of it.

So you heard from me at long last.
