Dear Friend-
Please believe me when I tell you I'm looking out for you. I know I can be harsh and rude to her, but she's terrible. She lies about smoking and drinking and sex to impress people, she dismisses best friends because those lies are more important to her than her friends, and she knows she has you wrapped around her finger. Do you remember the last time you two were together? How awful she was towards me, spreading all sorts of rumors about "us?" You are one of my best friends, very high on that list in fact, and I don't want to see you waste any time with her. We're close, and I'd hate to see someone come between what we have, especially someone who is so disrespectful to you and all your friends. We all love you too much to get into it with her, again, and to see you being used and abused, again. You might say that I'm jealous of her, or she might say that, but whatever. I'm here for you, and I know what's best for you, and if it comes off as jealousy than so be it. If you need to believe that the reason I don't like her is because I'm in love with you, than so be it. I can take one for the team.
So please, PLEASE hear me out. She's awful to everyone around you, as well as you. Why would you want to keep that in your life?
