A Birthday Recap
So my birthday was, in a word, awesome! We went to Phoenix on Sunday to see Beauty and the Beast, which was a VERY good show. I swear, this regional theatre is truly splendid. It was great cast, a great show...it was just great! So after the show, we all went back to our hotel (we decided to stay in Phoenix overnight, just cause it would be more fun) and chilled and slept and all that. Then we woke up like haneously early, got some breakfast, went swimming, got out abrubtly when we discovered a tampon in the pool (Oh my god, it was so disgusting!!!!!) and drove home, watching High School Musical. Then we stopped at T.G.I. Fridays for some yummy lunch and free ice cream! Then the rest of the way home, and we all died of exhaustion (I have no clue why either. We were just all dead.) And hung out until present time.
Now I personally think I am the best gift reciever in my family. My sister opens a present, looks at it, tosses it aside, muttering 'thanks' and opens another one. My nephew David is the same way. Now I open a present, study it, and genuinely thank whomever the giver was, and I love the present. I spend time on each one, and it annoyed my nephews and niece profoundly. "Open another one, Niki!" They would cry as soon as I opened it. It was extremely annoying, because I like to enjoy my presents, rather than tear through them all, you know? So, the list of what I got:
[x] Without You-A Memoir of love, loss, and the musical RENT. written by Anthony Rapp (possibly my favorite present. I was dying for this.)
[x] A Glinda the Good Witch purse (Now this is one of those Wizard of Oz extremely expensive retro purses that I couldn't afford myself. I was also dying for this.)
[x] A Wizard of Oz coffee mug (I am an avid coffee drinker, and we collect really fun coffee mugs)
[x] An ipod shuffle (An ipod of any kind would've been fine for me, so this was a huge thrill!)
[x] Cabaret DVD (I have been yearning to see this movie since I discovered musicals. But for some reason, I never have, but now I own it!)
[x] Broadway's Lost Treasures Volume 3: The Best of the Tony Awards (Some great performances that I long to see are on here.)
[x] Candide DVD (The one with Kristin Chenoweth and Patti LuPone. I can't WAIT to watch this.)
[x] You're A Good Man Charlie Brown-1999 Revival (Cheno and Rappy!! Hoo rah!)
[x] Sibling Relvery-Liz and Anne Callaway (Liz was the singing voice of Anastasia, and I just adored her voice. This cd is her and sister singing together, and apparently her sister is this great jazz singer, and Liz has got a soprano, so I just had to have it.)
[x] Clothing (A Marilyn Monroe t-shirt, a tank, a tinkerbell shirt, a jean skirt, and a pair of jeans.)
[x] a gift card (I love the freedom =D)
[x] A teddy bear from cafepress (my friend emi made this for me. He's wearing a little t-shirt with a picture of Ady and Lenny, and Cybele is supposed to be there, but she put my face over hers and it's awesome!!!)
