New York is sorta great, right? I moved here this March. During January and February, I lived in Jersey City. I haven't posted in quite a while but I sorta wish that was not the case. A lot of cool things have happened these past few months and now I feel like I've forgotten about most of em. I don't miss Miami at all. I still need a job, ( Read more... )

yeah, it's good to be back!

We're still figuring out our style but so far we're using an electronic drum set, 2 synths and we're gonna incorporate a drum machine as well. So I guess it's dancey but on the new wave tip.

WOW - I must visit that Nigerian restaurant! What's it called?

What kind of music does your band play?

The name is the best part of it! It's called "New Combination". Certainly, giant snails (not the wimpy escargot kind) and yams is a new combinatio for me!

The band is very new so we still havent figured out a sound (or a name!) but i guess it's on the electronic (2 synths, drummachine, and electronic drums) new wavey/dance end.

i'm glad ny is working out for you. my boyf lives in bed-stuy and there seems to be only carribean foods and chicken/chinese joints there, which is good, but is getting kind of boring! what subway stop are you near?

yeah, the local food options are good but not that diverse. thankfully, i can just get on the subway and hit up a totally different hood in a short time. I live near the Kingston stop of the 3.
