returning shoes
I cant believe R is so friken stupid. We went last night to try to return a pair of running shoes I bought back in Jan. Now jan is a long way a way now and I had actually stopped in the store about 2 months ago and mentioned the problem with the shoes and been told to bring them in. I left it and left it and finally thought I need to at least try to return them. They had worn two holes in the back of the shoes inside at the achellies area. this had happened after only 3 months. This had also happened to a pair of Asics last year and I took them back to a different store and they gave me a new pair. Ive never had that problem before and it seems to be that they just make them to wear out in about 3 months. I wouldnt mind so much but here in Australia running shoes cost for a good pair in the region of $250! Yep no kidding, so a pair that last 3 months that is just rediculous. So I go in the store and R is standing right there and Im telling the girl how I know I left it a long time but the problem happened 3 months in and i just never got round to bringing them in. everything is going well and the girl is going to replace them. They have my size in the same pair but a few months older version, basically just a different colour. Yep great I just need to pay a $60 difference since mine were on sale when i got them and they are now back up to $229. me and the girl have been chatting about shoes and stuff and we go up to the counter and R apears. Im just doing the deal and the other girl at the counter asks how much I run. ive already been cautious and told the girl I was dealing with that I run 5 ks and only do maybe 3 times a week. R starts going on about how I run everyday and Im a manic and run these big hills. The girl is looking at me and I can see she knows i know the game is up. She still went through with the deal but I just couldnt belive when R had been there at the start and then she starts mouthing off like that. She thinks she is being clever, but she is just such an idiot she can't think things through. We walk outside and I just say, wow i cant believe you said that. She immediately storms off saying "I'll see you back a the car" in an angry tone. This is why she is an idiot, she never wants to listen, never wants to learn. Ah so you were trying to bring back those shoes and so to make it more convincing you made out you didnt use them that much? YES, so when you start saying how much i run without saying I have other shoes too, it makes it sound like i flogged them to death. Why the fuck wouldnt you get that from the start. OK we didnt have that conversation because neither of us wanted to say anything. But you'd think in a normal person they would get it.
