I was going to write yesterday about why I attract arguments into my life. I have this absolute asshole of a neighbor. I wont bore you with all the shit he has done over the last couple of years, but we never talk glare at each other if we do meet, which isnt often as he usually runs or turns away if he sees me coming. He has done this big renovation on his house and has turned it into a machine shop. He sanded bit of wood I dont not kid, for 6 months! For 6 months he was constantly sanding. the buzz of a sander was our backgound noise almost day and night. A few times I told him to shut the fuck up when it was a sunday at 7am or past 6pm. Recently someone has been staying with them. They have two cars and a boat that is all parked in the driveway down next to us, but better that than when he left the boat outside his house during the entire construction so the trades guys had nowhere to park except outside our house, so we had nowhere to park! But so this guest, even though nothing is parked outside their house, parks his car outside ours. Now he parks it so the back end is right at our driveway, so you have to gingerly reverse out and becarful pulling in. It was there for a day and then I realized they are just going to leave it there. So the guy just happened to be out in the yard so i asked him if he wouldnt mind moving it since they had the whole road outside their place to park and that where he was made it difficult to pull in and out. He was a bit upperdy but he said ok he'd move it. So then im on the varranda and i see the neighbour at the fence. He is looking up at me and he says, "you're such a fucking asshole" I laughed. He has mouthed off like this before. Ive been really close to going over and beating the shit out of him, but my legal status would be in real trouble if I did this. And really does it make any difference. I think he is so pathetic its just funny. But obvioulsy it does make my blood boil for a sec and I want to fuck him up.
So as much as i try to laugh it off, it is a shitty situation to have going on with a neighbour. Ive never known anyone who was such a cunt as this guy. R and I cringe at the way he constantly shouts at his wife to do this or that or this is wrong. Its horrible, but she isnt really a very nice person either.
Then i have this on going thing with the council. They are just so fucked up and corupt. I try to fight them on things, but people in australia are such wankers, no one is willing to stand up and do anything and if I do stand up, the council has a beat up session on me and everyone just watches and secretly I think they enjoy it. Now the police are back on my case. i signed up a couple of years ago as the nighbourhood watch admin. i created the neighbourhood watch in this area with the police. But they do nothing. They send emails about stolen cars that have nothing to do with this neighborhood and then completely miss on telling us about local robberys. They constantly send emails patting themselves on the back and giving themselves awards for being so awesome. Its all a load of bollocks to tick boxes and pretend the government is doing something about crime. Ive dragged them over the coals about it a few times and made some enemies.
Over the last couple of years Ive been trying to get this local business that has council keys for two gates they access to keep them shut and locked. Since they got the keys they have left the gates open constantly and vehicles have been driving into a park on a footpath and camping and shitting in the park. they drive a quad bike up a track they had bulldozed and have caused the whole track to errode and send sediment down the hillside covering the footpath making it dangerous for all the cyclists that use it and a mess for pedestrians. I finally used my neighborhood watch email address to try to force the council to meet with me and convince them to do something. It worked and i got a lot of the problems fixed but the fall out was this guy with the business went bualistic in an email which he sent to the council and the police saying he hadnt done anything, and everything id said was slander. It was a joke since the council knows he doesnt lock or close the gates and they have seen him drive up the track really dangerously. But still I get an email back from the cops saying I am no longer neighborhood watch admin because this business issue isnt a neighbourhood watch issue!! ive written back saying what rubbish of course it is, but they are refusing to even answer me now. Ive asked for their supervisior and still no response. So yet another battle and more stress. Why do it? why not just forget it, the neighbors dont give a shit and never reply to emails either, so why do i bother. Well because its wrong and because this is why the world is the way it is today, because people just dont give a shit about this sort of stuff anymore and so governments can just do whatever they want.
