I'm not managing to keep as updated about news as I'd like to be. Can't blame anyone but myself, of course, seeing that it isn't that difficult a feat to get your hands on a newspaper or find a good news site online. I just need it to somehow become part of my routine again. Because there are things happening - presidential sex scandals and gay pride parade riots and military fuck ups in Gaza, and the only time I really clear to get caught up is Thursday noon.
Can anyone recommend a good news site that doesn't make you want to bash your brains in the monitor at its so-called objective journalism?
Other stuff:
-Disney's Beauty and the Beast musical is going to arrive in Israel. Having seen it on Broadway, I shouldn't go again (especially since Hebrew Disney freaks me out), except that I'm insanely curious about how the production will turn out.
-Read Dave Barry's Dave Barry Slept Here, a history of the United States very reminiscent of Jon Stewart's America: The Book. Whatever paragraph you pick if you close your eyes and randomly point at the book will be more hilarious than the last.
-Fourth and final roommate had arrived, which makes us an apartment of Film & CompSci, Theater, Art, and Biology. 5:3 for humanities...
-Re-bought a used Harry Potter 1 after having lent mine to god knows who years ago. Finally have the complete series again!
Going back to read Andre Bazin. Having to read these articles for class makes me incredibly grateful for being an English speaker.
