back to the streets where we (have technically never lived before)

I am back in Tel Aviv!

My Year of Barely Updating, to quickly summarize, has included: packing my previous apartment and moving everything over to my folks', moving to New York for 3 months, extending that by another two weeks which really shouldn't merit its own item here, returning to my folks' and driving 75-90 minutes to work every day through morning traffic (though without morning traffic it's a mere 30 minute drive), and now moving back to Tel Aviv, to an apartment that is empty and pretty and a 25 minute drive away from work.

I have had and am still having a few apartment-related minor angst issues, but I will spare you them, because this apartment is very well preserved, in a great location in the city, and owned by my parents, so I can obviously never complain. Right now I'm still trying to figure out how to arrange the furniture, and what furniture I still need to procure, and waiting for it to be officially connected to internet, because that is important. I used to have a lot more of you guys visit when we were all of Birthright-eligible age - I guess we're all older now, funny how that happens - but the next one of you who visits, there is a very nice guest bedroom at a great Tel Aviv location waiting for you <3.

Because I am mournfully AWOL, a Where I Am In Fandom update:

* watching all of the hockey, reading all of the hockey blogs, reading all of the hockey fics, listening to all of the hockey podcasts

* The Good Wife is amazing point blank, and I ship Alicia and Finn like the moon and the stars.

* Game of Thrones. I am watching that.

* Orphan Black season 2 - haven't seen this week's episode yet, but this show, man, this show.

* Bletchly Circle - Following recs, I have watched season 1 and it is fantastic; still need to watch season 2.

* Grey's Anatomy - I'm not 100% caught up, but I think up up to speed as to last week's ago? The "Sliding Doors" episode about Cristina was fantastic; despite this show's many ups and downs in quality, sometimes they have scenes that blow me away. Even if you've stopped watching this show a while ago, I do recommend watching Season 10 episode 17, "Do You Know?".

* Parks and Recreation - <333333.

* Captain America - I enjoyed the movie muchly and I READ A STEVE/BUCKY FIC. IT WAS GOOD. I am not in the fandom, but I did venture out of hockey for a good, well-recced fic and it was a very nice experience. I will probably do it again.

* Slings and Arrows - I am still going through fics, reccing it IRL, and being sad that the show is over. Sidenote: Last week I went to a production of Richard III, which was nice, not amazing, but starred Itai Tiran, who if Geoffrey Tennent existed in real life, Itai Tiran would be him. That boy is absolutely incredible.
