1. This music video is so many sports RPS fics come to life:
It's weird because reading this I go I want to read the fic, but if I read this fic I'd just go I want to watch the video and... the video's right there! It's like a cycle of confusing greatness. To quote the director: "This is what football is all about." Oh, if only it was.
(PS the song is pretty fun too.)
2. During this NHL lockout,
puckling has been posting the best. hockey. picspams. The trouble with hockey is that so many of the players/characters are so intensely unattractive and uninteresting until you are exposed to enough photos, videos, narrative and commentary that you reluctantly start thinking they're hot and endearing. I can't tell objectively because obviously I'm already in way over my head, but I do feel like these picpams can mostly serve as standalones, just really fun collections of weeded-out good photos and gifs and commentary. SO. If you would like just a taste of what some of these dudes look like for the purpose of maybe trying out the fandom without even reading the primers, here are links to her posts about:
