Oh, morning office chatter. I could really really do without your not-so-casual islamophobia right now.

(Things I am not going to do: start arguing politics/religion at work against 6 people. Grrr, though.)

Yaargh. But then I got home and my family were saying smarter things, which was better. I should probably speak up next time someone says something, but :/ :/ mixing politics and work :/ :/

maybe just, "guys maybe we should leave the politics outside the office" would do? it's not ideal but it's better than nothing. <3<3

There's a very casual atmosphere at my workplace, which is really great most of the time, and pretty great when we discuss politics that there's a consensus on. I honestly didn't expect for there to be such an overwhelming majority of people saying stupid, ignorant things this week.

I don't know. We'll see if things cool down after the holiday, and if they don't I might just end up saying something like that...
