Brendon/Ryan, NC-17, 25,000 words, one of those fics that leave you kind of speechless, with an amazing POV of Brendon-who-is-not-a-spaz, struggling with his family and his sexuality and the band. What she really means is has he bought yet another album whose questionable themes and lyrics will feed her growing concern that Brendon Is Slipping; Steps Must Be Taken While Chance Of Eternal Salvation Remains Good. Lately his mental Mom headlines are more dire than the paper's.
In Case the Scene Gets Nasty by zarah5 and softlyforgotten. Brendon/Ryan, 90,500 words, NC-17. AU about a high school where Brendon and Ryan hate each other, which takes takes an enemies-turned-lovers trope, but doesn't make it enemies-->friends-->lovers, but rather enemies-->enemies/lovers-->gradual, gradual friends.

We Would Bring It On and On by skoosiepants. Brendon/Spencer, 27,000 words, PG-13. AU where Spencer moved to Jersey when he was ten, and comes back to Vegas to finish high school with a "Jersey edge". Every day he texts Frank that he’s dying a slow, painful death, and Frank always ignores him and sends him pics of Gerard’s nostrils or dog shit or something. Frank’s an asshole. He has no idea why they’re friends, and Spencer misses him so much sometimes he feels like punching something that’ll punch back.

We Started From by untappedbeauty. GSF, 20,000 words, NC-17. Slow, wonderful build up to the boys getting together, where Brendon and Spencer are hard to resist and Ryan has to get over his reservations and Jon becomes part of the band. Beautiful band dynamics, and really freaking hot.
That's What He Said by addictedkitten. GSF, NC-17, 24,000 words. Where Brendon starts hooking up with Jon and Ryan pines and two pairs become a foursome and all the UST is resolves very satisfyingly and my god, in length. If you like tour fics and humor and UST and lots of porn and fun characterization, this is so for you.
Need You Wild by fallintosilence and boweryd. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 105,000 words, Werewolf AU. So very, very NC-17. Fucking amaaaaazing werewolf fic, incredibly hot and hilarious and nngh, no words. Cabin era; Spencer is a freshly turned werewolf struggles with staying in control and having an insatiable sex drive and getting used to this werewolf thing. Brendon is amazing. To quote the summary, Can their relationship survive jealousy, possible accidental lycanthropy, and a wolf musical? Will at least two of those problems be solved by lots of sex? Why, yes. Yes they will.
Another Dimension With Voyeuristic Intention by fallintosilence and boweryd. past!Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 8,400 words, time travel. "I'm really supposed to believe that Pete created time travel. reni_days. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 7,000 words. Brendon and Spencer have sex, and Brendon doesn't remember what happened in the morning after. Reni writes UST like nobody's business, and there is tension and awkwardness and crushes and sex and it is, as usual, utterly delightful.

reni_days. GSF, NC-17, 12,000 words, meta. Where Ryan Ross discovers fandom and gets into a porn war with Pete and now there's all this GSF in his inbox and he can't stop thinking about it.
The Taste Of Rock And Scald by jocondite. Jon/Brendon, NC-17, 5,800 words. Brendon convinces Jon to fuck him. I love the Brendon characterization so much here, the way he gathers his courage to ask for what he wants <3
Can't Turn Left On Tuesdays by jocondite. Spencer/Jon, NC-17, 16,500 words. "I've made out with guys a few times," Jon says meditatively. He shrugs and takes a sip of beer, utterly casual, like he's saying that he's played a few games of hockey, or played a little guitar in his time. Spans the time between Jon being a TAI... tech and becoming a full member of the band; great band interaction, Spencer experiments with Jon.
I Will Destroy Ryan Ross and All That He Loves: A Cautionary Tale by jae_w. The Academy Is.../Panic, gen, PG-13, 7,400 words. William Beckett vs. Ryan Ross. This is Thunderdome, dollface. William has some beef with Ryan. So fucking hilarious, I laughed out loud every other line, and you don't need to know anything about TAI to enjoy this. LOLOLOL William Beckett.
You'll Be Platinum by jae_w. Brendon/Ryan, NC-17, 11,000 words. Brendon's sex tape gets mixed reviews.
There Should Be A Name For Something Like This by skoosiepants. Brendon/Spencer, PG-13, 3,800 words. Brendon climbed up on the couch. “No, no, hypothetically speaking.” He waved a hand. “Do you think Spencer would go out with me?” SO ADORABLE.
Ordinary Boys by brushstrokes. Ryan/Brendon, NC-17, 16,700 words, sexswap. Ryan turns into a girl. Slow, sweet, hurty, very thoughtful sexswap fic, more about gender identity than an excuse for sex. Really lovely.
Pull Your Tangles Out by boweryd. Spencer/Brendon, NC-17, 9,000 words, D/s. In retrospect maybe it was a little weird, but in all fairness, Spencer really, really didn't notice anything until Jon pointed it out. It was just something he’d always done; hell, it was useful most of the time, being able to rein Brendon in with just a look, or a certain tone of voice, or if all else failed a, “Shut the fuck up, seriously.”
In the Sirocco by sevenfists. Brendon/Spencer, R, 12,400 words. This is a story about hypnosis and God and marijuana and true love. Where under hypnosis, Spencer admits to having a crush <3.
Tearing Down the Toy City by
roebling. Ryan/Spencer, PG-13, ~53,000 words. "What I'm trying to say, Spence, is that if you don't like the way things are going, that's fine, but if you're nostalgic for five years ago, you better give up. 2001 is not coming back. You and Ryan were never going to be fourteen forever. I think you need to figure out what you want." To steal from focusfixated: "brilliantly written, engaging, thoroughly enjoyable story spanning the years in which Spencer and Ryan grow up together and make it with the band. Deals with changing relationships and takes a startling look at Spencer's obsession with control that leads to a gambling problem. Heart-felt and believable." Amazing Spencer POV and characterization, where by the end I had to physically cover the bottom of the screen with my arm so that my eyes wouldn't skim down to read what happens next. Also featuring Smart!Brendon. [Note: slightly unflattering portrayal of Keltie, heavily tinted by Spencer's POV.]
Amateur Cartography by fictionalaspect. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 42,000 words, BDSM. "In the summer of 2008, Brendon’s still trying to figure everything out. He’s good at keeping his own secrets, but when a prank goes awry, he’s faced with the realization that Spencer has some secrets of his own. They end up stumbling backwards into a complicated relationship-one that definitely doesn’t include sex. Or does it?" Where Brendon and Spencer slowly navigate their way through a D/s relationship and a romantic one, and it is amazing in every single way, my HEART.
AUs and other Beloved Fandom Tropes:
Star Shaped by
harriet_vane. Brendon/Ryan, PG-13, 50,000 words, college/office AU. AKA the fic that converted me to Panic. This fic is the sequel to Forever Now, a My Chemical Romance AU where Brian adopts Gerard and Mikey, 11/14-year-old siblings who were living in the street. In that fic, Brendon was a college student hired to be their babysitter/tutor; that is basically all you need to know to read this fic, which is funny and charming and hurt/comforty and will make you fall in love with these kids, and especially Brendon, I cannot even. I thoroughly recommend starting with Forever Now, but I also think Star Shaped stands on its own. Schools and crushes and jobs and substitute families, where the best parts of romantic comedies and holiday movies come together. (And if you like it, there are more codas and sequels. My HEART.)
Tell Me To Stop by airgiodslv. Brendon/Spencer, 30k, NC-17, BDSM, college AU. Spencer is a an inexperienced dom who can't quite figure out how to make it work with partners and Ryan introduces him to Brendon, a TA at his college who's into that and willing to teach. One of the BEST BDSM FICS I HAVE EVER READ IN FANDOM EVER, with Brendon the sub tutoring Spencer the dom, with equal parts hurt/comfort, porn, humor and happiness. PURE GOLD.
Second Circle by
stele3. Spencer/Ryan, NC-17, 110,000 words, BDSM. Hands down one of the best fics I have ever read in any fandom in my life. AU; A few years after breaking off their high school BDSM relationship and disappearing for LA, Ryan shows up on Spencer's doorstep with a suspected case of HIV, a collar around his neck, and too many mysteries. This fic is a roller coaster of emotion with a brilliant thriller plot, really intense dynamics, and Ryan and Spencer characterizations that will take your breath away. Well worth reading even as an original novel. Further rec here (by
marina), because I can't start thinking about this fic without dissolving into a flailing mess.
Let Each Who is Worthy by moku_youbi. GSF, NC-17, 88,000 words. AU where Brendon never joined the band and instead left on his Mormon mission, was stationed in Brazil and then transferred to Chicago, where he and his brethren live in the same apartment building as Ryan, Jon and Spencer. Religious crises, new bands, awesome character dynamics and angst and various permutations of pairings until they finally settle into all four of them <333. This fic drew me in SO bad, one of my favorites, especially if you like fics about Brendon finding his place with the other three.
(I'll Be)The Only Thing Between You and the Stars at Night by moku_youbi. GSF, NC-17, 70,000 words, Star Trek AU. Specifically a Deep Space 9 AU, with no knowledge of DS9 necessary. Where Brendon's a new Starfleet officer and Ryan hates the Federation and Brendon gets kidnapped, and there is a whole lot of space pirate crack with cameos of other bands, and eventually it's GSF. Really fun plot; I know nothing about DS9 but I enjoyed this fic SO MUCH.
Right Outside Your Door by moku_youbi. GSF, NC-17, 31,000 words, Christmas. AU where Brendon is a Christmas Elf, and oh my god it is the sweetest cutest fic. Where Brendon is tired of living in the North Pole and escapes to the least Christmas-y place he can think of -- Vegas, where he meets Ryan and Jon and Spencer who are all in a committed relationship. Funny and awesome and happy :D
(Snowmen Have) Nothing to Hide by sunsetmog. Brendon/Spencer (Jon/Ryan), R, 27,500, more Christmas fic :D. In which Spencer is antisocial and hates Christmas, Ryan is in love, Jon is planning vacations and Brendon doesn't want to spend Christmas alone. Adorable, heartwarming holiday fic.
I Refuse To Dignify This With a Title by
reni_days. Brendon/Spencer, PG-13, 6,000 words, fanboy AU. Not!fic, AU: Brendon is a rock star. Spencer is an accountant who writes fanfic about him. READ THIS FIC okay, no matter what fandom you're in, it is meta and hilarious and never ever fails to make me grin so wide it hurts. SPENCER AS A FANBOY WRITING FIC okay IT IS AMAZING.
A Throat-Pierced Sound In The Night by jocondite. Jon/Ryan, NC-17, 8,700 words. Jon is the sort of guy who stops to pick up hitchhikers. Jon picks up Ryan the hitchhiker; very atmospheric and beautifully written.
Only Unto Him by disarm_d. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 26,300 words, virgin bride AU. Spencer Smith: Virgin Bride for harlequin_bands. As a Prince(ish person), Spencer was meant to be pure in every way. He didn't know what to expect from an arranged marriage - but certainly not Brendon's incessant grabby hands. Who did this bouncy, mysterious stranger think he was? AND ARE SEXY TIMEZ EVER GOING TO HAPPEN? [Hint: it is quite likely they are.] This takes the "virgin bride" trope all the way -- Spencer really doesn't know anything at first, which made me a little uncomfortable -- but I ended up really loving the whole thing, and enjoying both the kink and the relationship between him and Brendon. A lot :D
Anywhere, Say Anywhere (As Long I'm with You) by lyo. Jon/Spencer, NC-17, 55,000 words, Ranch AU. Kidfic, harlequin AU ♥. As the head of guest services at Oakhart Ranch, Jon Walker's supposed to make sure everything's running as smoothly as possible, even when Spencer Smith, former rodeo champion, comes rolling into town to help his former mother-in-law keep the ranch from going under. Jon's never heard anything good about Spencer, but Spencer's never anything but helpful and generally awesome to Jon and his infant daughter. Suddenly living on in the middle of nowhere Wyoming doesn't seem so bad...
As Close As It Gets To Home by airgiodslv. Ryan/Brendon, Spencer/Jon, Frank/Gerard, NC-17, 21,500 words, telepath police consultants AU. Brendon’s been with them since August. Spencer doesn’t know what exactly happened with his last partner, just that he’d been pretty screwed up over a suicide call that had started out with Brendon trying to talk a guy down off the ledge and ended with Brendon still in the guy’s head when it hit the pavement. He’d bounced back in a miraculously short time, which Spencer privately feels has a lot to do with Ryan, and then attached himself to the two of them. For whatever reason, Gerard has yet to find him a partner, so the three of them share calls and divvy up the workload based on personal strengths. Brendon’s desk has been jammed next to theirs for months now, and no one’s ever tried to move it.
A Gift Once Given by arsenicjade. Ryan/Jon, NC-17, 18,500 words, sex-slave AU. Jon was Ryan's sweet sixteen gift.
Fair Market Value by arsenicjade. Brendon/Ryan/Spencer, NC-17, 50,000 words, sex slave AU. Brendon and Spencer are neighboring landholders; Brendon needs a slave to help him in his fields and buys Ryan the (now former) pleasure slave as a field hand. Slow and gradual and wonderfully hurt/comfort.
Oh Doctor Doctor by softlyforgotten. Brendon/Ryan, NC-17, 17,300 words, hospital AU. It was just that on his first day in the oncology department of the hospital six years ago, he'd been introduced to Dr Ryan Ross, Head Surgeon, and fallen stupidly and irrevocably in love with him, and that, apparently, was that. Awesome doctor AU, fun plot, a secret stalker, and Brendon as a pediatrician ♥.
Given Limits Exist by softlyforgotten. Brendon/Ryan, NC-17, 21,000 words, circus AU. Where Brendon and Ryan are trapeze artists and all of Bandom are a circus.
A Most Brilliant Dance by softlyforgotten and zarah5. Spencer/Ryan, Jon/Brendon, PG-13 (with an NC-17 coda), 77,000 words, Pride & Prejudice AU. If you are a fan of P&P or regency fics, this is for you.
Touched for the Very First Time by ficjournal. Jon/Brendon, NC-17, 18,792 words, virginity, mall AU. Quarter life crisis AU! Jon and Brendon work at the mall together, but when they try to date, Brendon finds out that he has a lot to learn about sex and relationships. Fun and ridiculous with adorable banter and characterizations.
That Fork in the Road by
roebling. Brendon/Spencer, R, 17,000 words, baseball/college. AU where Spencer never met Ryan and plays Division 1 college baseball, and one day he meets Brendon who is kind of a rockstar and plays in a band with Ryan Ross. Awkward and tense and moody, and I loved Spencer's journey in this fic, from a very going-through-the-motions detachment to finding someone he connects with.
The Face of the Waters by
stele3. girl!Spencer/Ryan, NC-17, 35,000 words, scifi. The body was named Spencer Smith. It was what humans called female. It had died young. Fascinating scifi AU with great worldbuilding, the kind I would have clicked on had I not implicitly trusted the author, and it was worth it, with desk jobs and telepathy and space.
A Life Elsewhere by toucanpie. Brendon/Spencer, PG-13, 24,000 words. "When Spencer advertised for a roommate, he really wasn’t planning on living with the guy who insisted he was on the run from the FBI. As it turns out, he doesn’t have to know everything about Brendon to trust him." One of my favorites of this year's Big Bang, full of awesome banter and fun characterizations and I could not stop grinning throughout, and trying to figure out what was Brendon's story. I read this in like two hours of happy smiling happiness.
Hand Me Down by
reni_days. Brendon, Spencer, Ryan, PG-13, gen-ish, 15,000 words, homeless AU. Brendon's living alone in a shitty apartment, and one day he meets homeless!Ryan and Spencer. Brendon doesn't have much. But what he does have, he's willing to share.
So Tonight That We Might See by softlyforgotten. GSF, NC-17, 31,710 words, space AU. In which there are adventures and reunions, of a spacely sort. AU. Spencer is captain, Brendon is pilot, Ryan and Jon are the new Ambassadors them they have to transport, and there are long fraught histories and revelations and tension and sex slaves of sorts, and it is amazing.
Lights Never Shine as Bright as in the Movies by sneaky_sena. Spencer/Brendon, NC-17, 35,217 words, porn star AU. Brendon Urie's a master's student in music at UNLV who happens to make porn on the side. Spencer Smith's a wilderness photographer who happens to really, really like the online porn Brendon makes. They meet and shenanigans ensue. Also featuring Shane Valdes as Brendon's roommate and owner of his very own online porn site, William Beckett as Las Vegas' bitchiest maitre 'd, Gabe Saporta as a mime waiter, Greta Salpeter as a harried and overworked assistant, and Ryan Ross as himself.
No Season, Nor Clime by lyo. Jon/Ryan, Brendon/Spencer, PG, 43,000 words, regency-ish AU. Set in the none too specified, Jonathan Walker comes back to Hanover Park after the deaths of his parents to see to their affairs and take care of their technically minor wards, Brendon and Spencer as they court and hopefully marry. However, doing so means that he is once against confronted with meeting his childhood nemesis, Ryan Ross, who his parents took in along with Spencer when Jonathan was 12. Shenanigans, pining, misunderstandings, and other such nonsense ensue.
Post-split:
This Particular Pleasure by gigantic. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 18,000 words. Post-divorce fic that's not actually about the divorce (directly) but is another story about two dudes in a house.
If This Is Settling Down by fictionalaspect. Ryan/Spencer, PG-13, ~15,000 words. Spencer’s not taking the split very well, for certain values of "very well" that means "pretending Ryan Ross doesn’t even exist."
We Were Heading For the Sea by softlyforgotten. Ryan/Brendon, NC-17, 21,328 words. Ryan keeps showing up and acting like everything's normal; beautiful and hurty and passive aggressive and hopeful.
All We Fear is All that Can Save Us by lyo. Brendon/Ryan, 20-30k, NC-17, BDSM. "Jon and Ryan still talk to Spencer, and Jon still talks to Brendon, but since that decision was made last May, Ryan and Brendon haven't really talked. And Brendon knows that he shouldn't be surprised that Ryan's here; after all, he's here and he's never been as, well, expressive about sex as Ryan has been." Brendon meets Ryan at a BDSM club.

The Name of This Thing is Not Love by fictionalaspect and
reni_days. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17. ~22,000 words. Brendon's bisexual. And he's safe, and he's trustworthy, and he's one of Spencer's best friends in the world-probably is his best friend, next to Ryan. He'd probably be totally up for a little experimentation on Spencer's part. Spencer has heard him deliver entire soliloquies about how much he adores making out. And even if Brendon said no, he would never, ever hold it against Spencer for asking. He'd make fun of him, sure, but Brendon would be genuinely pleased that Spencer's testing his boundaries. Spencer isn't actually sure why this idea never occurred to him before.

Where Brendon starts hooking up with Jon and Ryan pines and two pairs become a foursome and all the UST is resolves very satisfyingly and my god, in length. If you like tour fics and humor and UST and lots of porn and fun characterization, this is so for you.
Need You Wild by fallintosilence and boweryd. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 105,000 words, Werewolf AU. So very, very NC-17. Fucking amaaaaazing werewolf fic, incredibly hot and hilarious and nngh, no words. Cabin era; Spencer is a freshly turned werewolf struggles with staying in control and having an insatiable sex drive and getting used to this werewolf thing. Brendon is amazing. To quote the summary, Can their relationship survive jealousy, possible accidental lycanthropy, and a wolf musical? Will at least two of those problems be solved by lots of sex? Why, yes. Yes they will.

William has some beef with Ryan. So fucking hilarious, I laughed out loud every other line, and you don't need to know anything about TAI to enjoy this. LOLOLOL William Beckett.

Pull Your Tangles Out by boweryd. Spencer/Brendon, NC-17, 9,000 words, D/s. In retrospect maybe it was a little weird, but in all fairness, Spencer really, really didn't notice anything until Jon pointed it out. It was just something he’d always done; hell, it was useful most of the time, being able to rein Brendon in with just a look, or a certain tone of voice, or if all else failed a, “Shut the fuck up, seriously.”
In the Sirocco by sevenfists. Brendon/Spencer, R, 12,400 words. This is a story about hypnosis and God and marijuana and true love. Where under hypnosis, Spencer admits to having a crush <3.
Tearing Down the Toy City by

"What I'm trying to say, Spence, is that if you don't like the way things are going, that's fine, but if you're nostalgic for five years ago, you better give up. 2001 is not coming back. Amateur Cartography by fictionalaspect. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 42,000 words, BDSM. "In the summer of 2008, Brendon’s still trying to figure everything out. He’s good at keeping his own secrets, but when a prank goes awry, he’s faced with the realization that Spencer has some secrets of his own. harriet_vane. Brendon/Ryan, PG-13, 50,000 words, college/office AU. AKA the fic that converted me to Panic. This fic is the sequel to Forever Now, a My Chemical Romance AU where Brian adopts Gerard and Mikey, 11/14-year-old siblings who were living in the street. In that fic, Brendon was a college student hired to be their babysitter/tutor; that is basically all you need to know to read this fic, which is funny and charming and hurt/comforty and will make you fall in love with these kids, and especially Brendon, I cannot even. I thoroughly recommend starting with Forever Now, but I also think Star Shaped stands on its own. Schools and crushes and jobs and substitute families, where the best parts of romantic comedies and holiday movies come together. (And if you like it, there are more codas and sequels. My HEART.)
Tell Me To Stop by airgiodslv. Brendon/Spencer, 30k, NC-17, BDSM, college AU. Spencer is a an inexperienced dom who can't quite figure out how to make it work with partners and Ryan introduces him to Brendon, a TA at his college who's into that and willing to teach. One of the BEST BDSM FICS I HAVE EVER READ IN FANDOM EVER, with Brendon the sub tutoring Spencer the dom, with equal parts hurt/comfort, porn, humor and happiness. PURE GOLD.
Second Circle by
stele3. Spencer/Ryan, NC-17, 110,000 words, BDSM. Hands down one of the best fics I have ever read in any fandom in my life. AU; A few years after breaking off their high school BDSM relationship and disappearing for LA, Ryan shows up on Spencer's doorstep with a suspected case of HIV, a collar around his neck, and too many mysteries. This fic is a roller coaster of emotion with a brilliant thriller plot, really intense dynamics, and Ryan and Spencer characterizations that will take your breath away. Well worth reading even as an original novel. Further rec here (by
marina), because I can't start thinking about this fic without dissolving into a flailing mess.
Let Each Who is Worthy by moku_youbi. GSF, NC-17, 88,000 words. AU where Brendon never joined the band and instead left on his Mormon mission, was stationed in Brazil and then transferred to Chicago, where he and his brethren live in the same apartment building as Ryan, Jon and Spencer. Religious crises, new bands, awesome character dynamics and angst and various permutations of pairings until they finally settle into all four of them <333. This fic drew me in SO bad, one of my favorites, especially if you like fics about Brendon finding his place with the other three.
(I'll Be)The Only Thing Between You and the Stars at Night by moku_youbi. GSF, NC-17, 70,000 words, Star Trek AU. Specifically a Deep Space 9 AU, with no knowledge of DS9 necessary. Where Brendon's a new Starfleet officer and Ryan hates the Federation and Brendon gets kidnapped, and there is a whole lot of space pirate crack with cameos of other bands, and eventually it's GSF. Really fun plot; I know nothing about DS9 but I enjoyed this fic SO MUCH.
Right Outside Your Door by moku_youbi. GSF, NC-17, 31,000 words, Christmas. AU where Brendon is a Christmas Elf, and oh my god it is the sweetest cutest fic. Where Brendon is tired of living in the North Pole and escapes to the least Christmas-y place he can think of -- Vegas, where he meets Ryan and Jon and Spencer who are all in a committed relationship. Funny and awesome and happy :D
(Snowmen Have) Nothing to Hide by sunsetmog. Brendon/Spencer (Jon/Ryan), R, 27,500, more Christmas fic :D. In which Spencer is antisocial and hates Christmas, Ryan is in love, Jon is planning vacations and Brendon doesn't want to spend Christmas alone. Adorable, heartwarming holiday fic.
I Refuse To Dignify This With a Title by

READ THIS FIC okay, no matter what fandom you're in, it is meta and hilarious and never ever fails to make me grin so wide it hurts. SPENCER AS A FANBOY WRITING FIC okay IT IS AMAZING.
A Throat-Pierced Sound In The Night by jocondite. Jon/Ryan, NC-17, 8,700 words. Jon is the sort of guy who stops to pick up hitchhikers. Jon picks up Ryan the hitchhiker; very atmospheric and beautifully written.
Only Unto Him by disarm_d. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 26,300 words, virgin bride AU. Spencer Smith: Virgin Bride for harlequin_bands. As a Prince(ish person), Spencer was meant to be pure in every way. He didn't know what to expect from an arranged marriage - but certainly not Brendon's incessant grabby hands. Who did this bouncy, mysterious stranger think he was? AND ARE SEXY TIMEZ EVER GOING TO HAPPEN? [Hint: it is quite likely they are.] This takes the "virgin bride" trope all the way -- Spencer really doesn't know anything at first, which made me a little uncomfortable -- but I ended up really loving the whole thing, and enjoying both the kink and the relationship between him and Brendon. A lot :D
Anywhere, Say Anywhere (As Long I'm with You) by lyo. Jon/Spencer, NC-17, 55,000 words, Ranch AU. Kidfic, harlequin AU ♥. As the head of guest services at Oakhart Ranch, Jon Walker's supposed to make sure everything's running as smoothly as possible, even when Spencer Smith, former rodeo champion, comes rolling into town to help his former mother-in-law keep the ranch from going under. Jon's never heard anything good about Spencer, but Spencer's never anything but helpful and generally awesome to Jon and his infant daughter. Suddenly living on in the middle of nowhere Wyoming doesn't seem so bad...
As Close As It Gets To Home by airgiodslv. Ryan/Brendon, Spencer/Jon, Frank/Gerard, NC-17, 21,500 words, telepath police consultants AU. Brendon’s been with them since August. Spencer doesn’t know what exactly happened with his last partner, just that he’d been pretty screwed up over a suicide call that had started out with Brendon trying to talk a guy down off the ledge and ended with Brendon still in the guy’s head when it hit the pavement. He’d bounced back in a miraculously short time, which Spencer privately feels has a lot to do with Ryan, and then attached himself to the two of them. For whatever reason, Gerard has yet to find him a partner, so the three of them share calls and divvy up the workload based on personal strengths. Brendon’s desk has been jammed next to theirs for months now, and no one’s ever tried to move it.

Jon and Brendon work at the mall together, but when they try to date, Brendon finds out that he has a lot to learn about sex and relationships. Fun and ridiculous with adorable banter and characterizations.
That Fork in the Road by

AU where Spencer never met Ryan and plays Division 1 college baseball, and one day he meets Brendon who is kind of a rockstar and plays in a band with Ryan Ross. Awkward and tense and moody, and I loved Spencer's journey in this fic, from a very going-through-the-motions detachment to finding someone he connects with.
The Face of the Waters by
stele3. girl!Spencer/Ryan, NC-17, 35,000 words, scifi. The body was named Spencer Smith. It was what humans called female. It had died young. Fascinating scifi AU with great worldbuilding, the kind I would have clicked on had I not implicitly trusted the author, and it was worth it, with desk jobs and telepathy and space.
A Life Elsewhere by toucanpie. Brendon/Spencer, PG-13, 24,000 words. "When Spencer advertised for a roommate, he really wasn’t planning on living with the guy who insisted he was on the run from the FBI. As it turns out, he doesn’t have to know everything about Brendon to trust him." One of my favorites of this year's Big Bang, full of awesome banter and fun characterizations and I could not stop grinning throughout, and trying to figure out what was Brendon's story. I read this in like two hours of happy smiling happiness.

Brendon Urie's a master's student in music at UNLV who happens to make porn on the side. Spencer Smith's a wilderness photographer who happens to really, really like the online porn Brendon makes. They meet and shenanigans ensue. Also featuring Shane Valdes as Brendon's roommate and owner of his very own online porn site, William Beckett as Las Vegas' bitchiest maitre 'd, Gabe Saporta as a mime waiter, Greta Salpeter as a harried and overworked assistant, and Ryan Ross as himself.
No Season, Nor Clime by lyo. Jon/Ryan, Brendon/Spencer, PG, 43,000 words, regency-ish AU. Set in the none too specified, Jonathan Walker comes back to Hanover Park after the deaths of his parents to see to their affairs and take care of their technically minor wards, Brendon and Spencer as they court and hopefully marry. However, doing so means that he is once against confronted with meeting his childhood nemesis, Ryan Ross, who his parents took in along with Spencer when Jonathan was 12. Shenanigans, pining, misunderstandings, and other such nonsense ensue.

This Particular Pleasure by gigantic. Brendon/Spencer, NC-17, 18,000 words. Post-divorce fic that's not actually about the divorce (directly) but is another story about two dudes in a house.
If This Is Settling Down by fictionalaspect. Ryan/Spencer, PG-13, ~15,000 words. Spencer’s not taking the split very well, for certain values of "very well" that means "pretending Ryan Ross doesn’t even exist."
We Were Heading For the Sea by softlyforgotten. Ryan/Brendon, NC-17, 21,328 words. Ryan keeps showing up and acting like everything's normal; beautiful and hurty and passive aggressive and hopeful.

He'd probably be totally up for a little experimentation on Spencer's part. Spencer has heard him deliver entire soliloquies about how much he adores making out. And even if Brendon said no, he would never, ever hold it against Spencer for asking. He'd make fun of him, sure, but Brendon would be genuinely pleased that Spencer's testing his boundaries.
