oh man. what i love about this story -- or rather, what i love MOST about this story -- is that the resolution involves a ridiculous plot-twist of the most absurd degree... which is exactly why it's so true to the west wing. like, aaron sorkin totally treats the president as a walking deus ex machina throughout the show, and you've totally honored that tradition in the best way.

hell, you even managed to throw mary marsh into the mix -- kudos!

Thank you! ♥ I'd initially hoped to channel Bartlet and his speechwriters to deliver a smackdown in the likes of the Bible quotes or pilot scenes without actually repeating them; sadly I am not that eloquent or original. But Bartlet's also a fan of big entrances and grand gestures, and sometimes he just lets his actions speak for him. (And then I thought, dude, this is RPF, why am I even writing about the fictional President when I could be writing about Obama and Rahm? But this could only happen in Sorkinland, alas...)
