I can't believe I've just spent 3 hours which by all accounts should have been spent sleeping watching new Israeli TV shows:
1. The new Israeli Idol episode, where the judges went on a ten day road trip to the US (NYC, Memphis, Nashua, LA) to audition Israelis who live there. Pretty hilarious. They chose a singer from NY and a sweet first year college kid who works at the UCLA chapter of Hillel.
2. The pilot episode of the new Gossip Girl/Twilight teen horror show -- SO MUCH CRACK, I cannot even.
3. The first part of a six part miniseries based on Pride and Prejudice. It's romantic and cheesy and I just can't help loving the Elizabeth and Darcy dynamic, whatever adaptation of the story I watch. This time both Elizabeth and Jane are divorcees, and Elizabeth has a 12-y-o daughter, and Bingley is Bengal and Darcy is Artzi (or rather, Nimrod Artzi, who is also the millionaire owner of DRC company). And okay, there were actually a bunch of other stuff about the adaptation I liked but omg bed. I just wanted to squee for a bit.
Anyway, I'm sure at some point I'll blabber about these shows some more. If anyone wants links (all 3 have Hebrew subtitles), let me know.
