All-nighter
Well finally finished my 1,000 word essay for Philosophy. Might as well pull an all-nighter and get ahead on some other class work. I had a meeting with two Jehovah's Witness' last night. Got a better understanding of what they believe and why they believe it (Don't believe in Trinity, Jesus is Michael the archangel and a different view of what hell is like). It was interesting to hear their responses to some of my questions, especially when I asked them what they thought of Mormonism. Doing some reading earlier today on JW's and the founder Charles Taze Russell (1852-1916) predicted basically the destruction of mankind in 1873 and 1874. Dates of course came to pass, and then predicted this would happen again in 1878, 1914, 1925, and 1975. So the idea developed after these failed prophecies that Christ had already returned, and only JW can see him.
