on things that totally freak me out
There's a girl in my linguistics class who licks her fingers. All. The. Time. I don't just mean she licks her thumb & forefinger in order to turn a page, or chew on a nail. But she is just constantly putting her fingers up to her mouth and-- there are no good synonyms for this-- licking them. For no purpose! They must be wet all the time.
(I wish I'd never seen it because it's like an accident on the highway or squishing a spider-- I can't stop glancing at her to see if she's doing it again. And usually, she is. I know I'm a total creeper for looking. That part is just as bad. But WHY? WHY is she doing that?!?)
