notes from the South
I don't understand how people navigate the temperature down here. Outside, it's always in the mid-to-high-80s (and sunny). To compensate, they keep the indoor climate sub-Arctic. I turned off the air-conditioning in my room almost immediately upon moving in, and I keep the windows open to let in the warm air. and I'm STILL freezing. I just had to put on socks and a sweatshirt. This also makes picking out clothes difficult-- do I dress for the desert or the tundra? Layering seems to work, but I haven't mastered it yet.
other than that, I like the south-- at least my small corner of the south. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "Real Men Love Jesus." That was worth the entire shopping trip to buy dorm supplies.
