today has been a not so fun day.
to begin, i wake up slightly more nauseated than i have been the past few days and slightly feverish with a headache. so, i called in sick to work, which wasn't such a bad thing because it gave me time to relax.
i decided to download some movies and start burning some dvds for amy. i downloaded "shortbus," which after approximately 30 seconds, i decided wasn't for me. after that, i watched "stranger than fiction," which was surprisingly delightful for me. i almost watched it again, but then i thought that was a dumb idea and quit. after that, i had nothing left to watch that was downloaded so i went back to watching "tru calling". just when the show was getting really good, they ax it (sad thing #2)! that is one of the things i hate the most: getting into a canceled show.
so after that pretty depressing realization, i check up on some gossip and find nasty rumors that rachel mcadams and ryan gosling split up (sad news bit #3). despite being from a completely untrustworthy source (life & style magazine), the thought was still sad enough.
after that, i grabbed some ice cream and watched "a guide to recognizing your saints," which was a little disappointing. it was okay, but not great. i thought channing tatum's performance was good, but a little overrated, despite my complete and utter love for him.
so then, i took a break, sat down for my abc thursday night primetime session and ordered some chicken wings. btw, the chicken wings weren't that great, and even worse, they forgot to give me ranch sauce to go along with it and i overtipped the delivery guy (sad thing #4). after one great episode of ugly betty, and one "omg-can-this-get-anymore-incestual" episode of grey's anatomy, i go to check my favorite gossip site, ontd, and see the devil incarnate in text...
NEWS OF VM CANCELLATION! (SAD THING #5-100)
granted, it was from kristin vietch or whatever the hell her name is, it's still a fact that i have been avoiding realization of for far too many months now. i mean, first and biggest point of all, this season has been less than stellar as far as storylines and execution goes. it almost feels like a completely different show, other than the constant awesomeness that is kristen bell. second, that damn pcd show had to premiere big and third, piz is leaving for grey's 2.0. despite all this, i remain loyal to my beloved vm and i quite well might be traumatized for life when it goes off the air.
anyway, here's to hoping...
