Don't ever say you're on your way down

Easter, for not bein' home and all, was passably good. Big Catholic service, then dinner at Jerome's house. Couple of our teammates were over, his big family, but more importantly I got to play with his daughter. She's just adorable. Two months, I think she is? Man I want kids. That, however, can wait, bein' that I'm hardly 23.

Early morning these last couple of days, and for two weeks to come. Up early for therapy today, then obviously tomorrow it's off to the Middle East. I'm leavin' Pittsburgh on a commercial flight, but we'll be going to a base and they'll check our stuff there - I mean, really rip through it, we got detailed instructions what and what not to bring - and then, well, we're off. I believe I'm meetin' up with Larry Izzo of the Pats and Warrick Dunn of the Falcs, if memory serves me. Obviously, every morning after that'll be early, since we'll be up for the troops. Two weeks of meet-and-greet: I'm really lookin' forward to it. There's supposed to be a lot of Steelers fans over there, but hell, even if they aren't Pittsburgh fans, I'll still happily meet with them. Should be fun. I'm sure I'll be safe, but feel free to keep me and all the rest of the troops over there in your prayers.

And, at the very least, it means gettin' away from the freakin' press here for awhile. If I hear the phrase "sophomore slump" one more time...honestly, someone's gettin' punched, I mean it. Or about Nat, since the response, "I don't talk about my personal life" just seems to incite them to keep askin'. And of course, since I refused to answer questions when we WERE dating, no one believes we AREN'T dating now. Which is cool. I don't mind bein' media-paired with someone who was just ranked as one of the 100 hottest women by FHM. Anyway, it's alright, I got somethin' better to actually go home to - well, as a figure of speech, since I live alone, but anyway. *smirks*

Okay, back to packing, and I need to drop Zeusy off - I'll miss my puppy the most, I think. Need to fill my iPod too, since I've been lax on that. There's a lot of rap on it right now, but I'm in one of my monthly moods that I don't really wanna listen to that, it's been all classic rock and weird stuff. Coldplay, I've had this song on repeat, s'ridiculous. And Pink Floyd, especially The Wall. That album always makes me wanna...well, let's just say I got a special place for it in my heart.

Anyway. I'll be online a coupla times, anyway, cause they got internet access over there. Not too often, probably, and that's just fine with me, but if anyone really needs to get in touch with me, just leave me a comment or somethin' and I'll see it at some point. See all you guys in a week or two.
