two more Junkies shows since i last posted. i dont have the setlists in front of me so i wont post them. so far this tour there have been four shows, and they have debuted 11 songs that they are working on for the new album (plus 5 older songs that i had not heard live before. :) the show in Markham (3/3/03) was just incredible, mostly for personal reasons.
it was my 25th Cowboy Junkies show, so to honor the event i bought Margo some roses and wrote out a thank you card for her and the band. i got to the venue about the same time the band was getting there, so i decided to bring the flowers in so they wouldn't sit in the cold car. i went to the stage door and Jaro was walking in so i went in with him, i ran into Margo just inside the door and she saw me with the flowers so i walked with her to her dressing room to drop off the flowers and card. when the show started my flowers were on the table next to Margo on the stage, and much to my suprize she mentioned me during the 2nd set. she talked about the flowers, mentioned that it was my 25th show and then dedicated a song to me (A Common Disaster). of course it was the best version of _A Common Disaster_ ever! :D after the show a friend of mine picked up Margo's setlist (which had a "Robert 25" notation next to _A Common Disaster_), so i had Margo sign it after the show (she also wrote "happy anniversary"). it was an awesome day!!
