Another political entry
So today Hamas was elected to essentially take control over the Palestinian parlament. This is not good at all. Hamas was originally started as a terrorist group, and in most respects is still one. Now it has a legitimate state that it represents. Hamas' platform for this election was the total destruction of Israel. The Israeli state is legitimate, and has been so for decades. It grew years ago when they were attacked by another country and they claimed some of their land after the attack. As far as I'm concerned those lands were legitmatly Israel's after that war. However, in an attempt to get peace througout that region they gave that land back to the Palestinians. This was a sign of good will, and in return the Palestinians try harder to destry Israel. Now Isreal is obviously going to take a hard right turn by electing the Lecud party. Ben Netenyahu will be elected prime minister once again, and if Hamas continues to attack Israel he will have no qualms about fighting back. Most people do not realize this, but the Israeli Armed Forces are badass. They are not ones to be fucked with. My fear is that once this goes down, the rest of the middle east that already hates Israel will attempt to get involved. Israel is one of our allies, and we will come to it's aid if it is in danger. This just simply cannot end well.
