I agree with a lot of what you say. Women are NOT the weaker sex IMO. It's too damn bad that male-centric religions (like Islam, for example), don't recognize women as equals. Perhaps if Mohammed had incorporated some Pagan aspects into his religion some of this discrimination of women wouldn't have happened.
I agree with this...except instead of the "same" pay for everyone, get paid on your experience and how well you do your job. Where I work, I only have a part-time status, run myself ragged for everyone trying to get everything done, while the full-time (male) sits in the office with the to managers (also male) and talk about hunting, real estate, etc...usually nothing to do with work. Then the full-time guy will finally come out into the warehouse when he hears me doing stuff to do some "token" work. Usually by the time he comes out, I'm done doing everything that needs to be done
( ... )
Well with the "equal pay" statement, I was referring to the base starting wages of people getting the same job. Of course people who have been there longer, etc. should get paid more. But if a African american man, a woman, and a white ma, each with the same level of education and experience start the same job, their pay should be identical.
Well, your full-timer is probably mostly lazy, but there is probably a little bit of sexism there. I think its mostly due to the fact that you are part-time and he is full time. So he is important and you are not (in his eyes). I have the same problem with my manager/co-worker. He is full time and I am part time, yet I get called in to do his job a lot of times and I do a lot of the work and many of the idea but never get any credit for it.
