(no subject)
Well, I am going to work a couple of hours for Richard, and then head out to confirm the hotel room, do a few odds and ends, and then wait til Phyllis arrives on the train!
I know I haven't been around much or posting much of anything other than the occassional meme. But a lot is going on in my life at the moment (which seems like it would make for some good blogging, but alas I have little time). Things in my life, although busy, are wonderful! Things have really been falling into place here lately and I hope they continue to do so.
Yesterday was extremely productive. Got my paycheck, got the oil changed in my car, got a hair cut, got my glasses adjusted since they were a bit wonky. I also cleaned out my car and got a few little odds and ends before going shopping. I found a pretty nice dress shirt for $5, the sleeves and shoulders are a bit tight for my taste, and I wish it was a bit longer, but I always have that problem when it comes to dress shirts.
This weekend, Phyllis is coming down here to stay. Unfortunatly we weren't able to get the Bed and Breakfast we wanted, but I still managed to get a decent hotel room for us to spend the night. Tomorrow, we will go out to my mom and dads for Easter dinner and she will get to meet my brother Roger and his family. And meet my brother Bills wife Jackie (she has already briefly met Bill when she came out to have dinner with my parents). So that should be fun, and I promised her that I would show her some of my old childhood photos since she showed me some of hers when she was a little cutie.
The rest of the week will be spent up in Chicago. If all goes well Monday, we should have an apartment lined up for us to move into at the end of May *crosses fingers* SO I really hope we get this apartment. Since Phyllis already knows and rents from the landlord, it is a pretty good bet that we can get it.
Phyllis has to work during the week, so I will be trying to find ways to amuse myself while she is gone. Definitly going to work on my resume and role-playing system while I am there and I will keep searching for a job (maybe even call a couple of places).
And Friday is Phyl's birthday! So we will have a good time then! Not sure what we will be doing, but we might go and see a movie at a "brew and view" theater that they have in the area. I guess it is a resturant/movie theater combo. Still have to get her a present, but I am sure I will find something nice for her!
Unfortunatly, I will have to head back to Richards Saturday afternoon to clean and get everything ready for his annual inspection Monday. It shouldn't be too bad since I keep things pretty much clean and tidy. Still, he is going to have a whole week to dirty it all up again.
Oh well, I suppose I should finish packing, work a bit more for Richard, and then get ready to go meet and spend the next week with my lady love! Have a good weekend everybody.
