Been a busy little Rodshark
Wow, I haven't updated my journal since last month. I know that was only a couple days ago, but still. The reason for being away from LJ land for the last week or so? I have been bitten by the writing bug.
In between working for Bergners and Richard I have been working like crazy on my role-playing system. Which is really nice for a change, but kind of unusual. Usually I get the urge to work on my system either right before I might get a chance to play it, or just after I get done with a playtesting session. Neither one has happened for a while, and isn't likely to happen for a while either (hopefully I will get to play it someday soon, but it's not likely).
But anyway, I am happy to report that I only have 1 section and 1 chapter left to write in it before I am completely finished (except for the editing). I have the item descriptions section (about 6 pages or so), and the Monsters and Mythic Creatures Chapter (about 20 pages) left to write. Luckily the item description section won't be too hard, and the Monster chapter is actually pretty fun to write. I already have 10 monsters written for it, so I only have about 20 or so left to create, plus the Random Monster Generator.
Which is actually finished... somewhere. I was planning on just copying it and rewriting it in the new version of the book. Problem is, I can't find it anywhere :(
I think it is going to be the same situation as my camera. A couple months down the line I am going to locate it somewhere hiding in one of my books and I will be kicking myself. I am kinda aggravated by it since I know I put it someplace safe (which is precisely the reason I can't find the smegging thing *lol*). So I will probably look for it again tomorrow after a good nights sleep. If I can't find it tomorrow I think I will just recreate the thing... UGH!
It took me quite a while to create and write the thing last time, but I think I have a lot of it memorized, so hopefully it won't be too bad. I know the random NPC generator went fairly easy, so I am not too worried.
I was hoping to have the system finished by this weekend. If I can find the old Monster Generator I still can probably. If not, it will take a bit longer.
The important thing though is that I AM FINISHED with the long, tedious Weapons and Equipment chapter. I am sure I will have to tweak it here and there, but it is workable and on "paper" so to speak.
But besides work and writing on my system, not much has been happening. Bought Iron Man the other day. I love that movie. But not enough to buy the uber-special deluxe edition for $30. The plain old theater version is good enough for me.
Well I think I will watch some Youtube, maybe watch some Firefly episodes and then head to bed here.
