Accomplishments, Affection, and Aggravations
Accomplishments
-I have been bitten by the writing bug here lately and along with some helpful encouragment and advice from Phyllis, I wrote a TON on my role-playing system over the weekend. I have written almost 20 pages in the past two days. I completely finished the GM's Toolbox section, worked on several charts in the Arms and Equipment section, and created about 10 monsters for the game. If this writing bug keeps up, I will have the book finished by the end of the week.
After everything is written out, the book will probably be around 400 pages. A sturdy tome to be sure, but given that it is the only book you will ever need to play my system, it's not that bad.
But besides writing, I have been trying to get all my finances in order (unlike the government and certain multi-billion dollar banks and corporations that won't own up to their greedy mistakes and are begging for a government bailout... which they will get of course even though it won't do much good and they will probably just run off with 700 billion of our tax money, but I digress). I got several bills paid, and am planning on opening a small savings account in October.
I am planning on saving $25 from each paycheck and putting it in that account, which I refer to as my "Moving Day" fund. And hopefully by sometime next year I will have a good little nest egg to move up to Chicago with. Speaking of which...
Affection
Had a wonderful talk with Phyllis tonight. We are both missing each other like crazy and it is still 4 weeks until we can see each other again, which really sucks :(
We definitly need to make sure we aren't apart this long again, because it is a lot rougher than either of us was expecting it to be. But hopefully the next couple of weeks fly by and we will be together before we know it. Being away from each other has been very rough on both of us, but I think being apart makes us appreciate the time we do get to spend together, and each other, all the more. And hopefully we won't have to be apart for much longer.
Aggravation
-My e-mail program has been acting funny here lately, Which has been rather annoying. It will work fine for a while, then constantly ask me to resign in whenever I check my e-mail (And I haven't even closed the application or anything since the last time I checked my mail). Not sure what is going on, and I might have to give the customer service a call to see if they can help.
Most of the day Friday I was in a pretty foul mood. Not sure why, but I think it might have been due to all the idiot drivers and shoppers that I had to deal with while trying to cash my paycheck and pay some of my bills. Oh well, I managed to get my running done and everything and felt better once I got home and away from all crazies.
Speaking of crazies... I should probably head to bed here since I have to work at Bergners in the morning. We should get two trucks in this week, but if they are anything like the last two trucks we got in, they will probably be fairly small and easy. Which is both good and bad. Good since it won't mean working my ass off and being stressed about trying to get the truck unloaded and processed, but bad for the paycheck since we will only work a couple of days. If the trucks fall somewhere in between I will be happy *lol*.
