Update time again...
Well, it has been a good week so far. I have been in a good mood, been getting plenty of work and money, and have had some good things going on in my life for a change.
I had to work 3 days at Bergners this week, but luckily it hasn't been anything too awful. Monday I had to go in for a few hours to help move around the Mens department and do a few odds and ends. Wednesday we got a truck in, but it was pretty small, only around 600 boxes, so we unloaded and processed it all the same day which was nice. And today I had to go in to help bring down a TON of stuff for the Stores YARD sale that they are having this weekend. The store is getting rid of a bunch of fixtures, chairs, decorations, and other assorted junk and selling it pretty cheaply, with all the proceeds going towards St. Jude charity. And since the receiving crew were the ones lugging all the stuff down, we got first dibs on the stuff. So now I have a pile of two file cabinates (for my dad), 3 chairs (for Richard), and a stool for myself. I might do a little more shopping this weekend for other junk, but I don't know.
And I have actually had a little bit of money here for a change. Between the tax returns, DORS paycheck, and getting my economic stimulus payment Monday (although it wasn't as large as the tax preparer said it was going to be), PLUS I get my paycheck from Bergners tomorrow. So I actually am not broke for a change.
Of course almost all of it is going to go towards bills, but I will DEFINITLY have some fun with a bit of the money. And this time, I won't have to have fun alone!
I HAVE A DATE!
Yes believe it or not I actually have a date. The girl I have been flirting with on Myspace said yes when I asked her if she wanted to go catch a movie and get some sushi next weekend. So that should be a lot of fun... but probably more than a bit nerve racking since it's been about a year and a half since I dated anyone. Not sure if anything will come from this, but it will be nice to just go out and have a nice evening with someone. No pressure, no expectations, just two people getting to know each other and see where it goes.
I will also be going up to Chicago to hang out with Phyllis some weekend. It will be a lot of fun hanging out with her again. Just have to arrange for a date where neither of us will be busy or have things going on. Probably towards the beginning of June or so.
So all in all, a good week, and a pretty good month thus far with some great things to look forward to for a change.
