Yep, I am still playing City of Heroes. Whilst playing tonight, there was a call over the chat that there was going to be a costume contest at Atlas Square. I was playing with Huntre at the time, and I thought it is a kick ass looking costume... and getting my ass handed to me by the troll mutants in the Hollows area was getting tiresome, so I went and entered it.
And got a honorable mention!!
I didn't win or even place, but still to get up there when I have been playing the game all of 3 days and am at level 7. First place got 1 million, second place got 750k, 3rd place got 500k, and 4th place got 250k, and fifth place (which is what I, and a couple others got), was 100k. Holy Schmikies!
It was exactly 98,000 more than I had at the time. So I went and upgraded all of my stuff as much as I was able to and I am now about 10% more powerful! and still have 85,000 left over Yay!
Looks like I won't be struggling to get any money with that character any time soon! And the ironic part is, that the original role-playing character was also fairly wealthy *lol*.
It's nice to know my creativity and artistic ability can at least make me some money in the virtual world *lol*
