Maybe the zombies did eat me *lol*

Wow, its been a few days since I last posted. Been kinda busy, yet not busy enough if that makes any sense.

Spent most of Thursday morning walking around the lake. So that was a lot of fun. I went there at about 6 am and the weather was perfect for it. Nice and cool, a slight breeze, and the sun beginning to rise... Awesome. Plus all of the little forest critters were out running around in the cool, dawn air, rummmaging around for things to eat.

Thats one damn smart squirrel
As I was walking around the lake on the main concrete bike/hiking path. I walked across this area that had a bunch of crushed green walnuts in the middle of the path. Kind of struck me as a bit odd since no other place on the path was like that. Sure there was a walnut or two here and there, but this part had dozens of crushed walnuts, some were fairly fresh, while others looked like they had been there for a while. There were even a few whole uncrushed walnuts on the path. It struck me as odd for a moment, but I continued walking. Well, the path I was on curves back around a little bit and you can see the area I just walked from. As I walked I noticed a cute little furry shape run over to the path and sniffed around. I stopped and watched for a minute as it sniffed around and moved a couple of the whole walnuts with its little paws and run back over to a tree.
Okay, that got me curious, so I walk back over and looked at the squirrel that was watching my every move, its little tail twitching back and forth. So I intentionally crush one of the whole walnuts with my foot and walked a few feet away off the path and watched what happened. Almost immediatly, the squirrel ran over and began sifting through the crushed walnut, eating out the little nutty bits and then ran back towards the tree and got another walnut in its mouth and ran back to the path and set it down, and pushed it around a little with its paws and then ran back to the tree. I went over and crushed a couple more and sat there in amused amazement as he ate the crushed walnuts and then brought another walnut over to the path.

Damn I wish I would have had my camera with me, I could have made some money on AFHV. Or at least get a cute entry on Youtube *lol*.

But I walked around for about 2 hours, and walked around 5 miles. I actually could have walked around a little longer, but the sun was coming up fast and the heat continued to rise, so I figured it was time to leave.

Worked for Richard for a few hours after I got back and fixed a bit spagetti dinner and got everything cleaned up around the house. Then I started what Really pulled me away for the past three days. I got bit by the writing bug and began writing in my role-playing system. Between Thursday night and Saturday morning, I wrote about 8 pages in the system. Thats not a lot of writing really, but it wasn't just writing, a lot of it was making charts and figuring out prices, weights and stats for about 1000 or more pieces of equipment ranging from the Stone Age to the Modern Age. So I definitly got a TON accomplished.

Yesterday, we had a big fathers day cookout/Birthday party for my mom and brother Roger. So that was a lot of fun, even if I was a bit on the depressed side due to being too broke to even get anyone a gift besides a card. They understood though, and I told them I'd give them a raincheck when I got paid next week. Almost every penny I had went to paying bills. But hopefully I will either get a new job somewhere, or hours will begin to pick up again out at Bergners.

Well, thats about it for now. I'm off to do a bit more writing and goof around online.

work, nature, rsrs, celebrations
