She's a Maniac, Maniac

I have good news! That is right people for once I actually have news to report on this thing and not just my usual musings. So my good news is that I made an A on my Calculus test, that is right an A. You just don't know how excited I was when I saw that grade, but to steal a line from Napoleon Dynamite, "Heck Yes!" Ok enough with the Calculus grade. Otherwise it has been a little blah up here lately because of the rain, although it has made for perfect sleeping weather, all I need is a tin roof or an air conditioning unit that is outside of my window. Well, we can't always get what we want can we? As of late I have gotten the oddest songs stuck in my head for two (maybe three) reasons.

1. I watch part of the Today show in the mornings before I go to class just to see what is happening in the news arena. The Today show plays on NBC and NBC is starting this reality show where past star musicians like Vanilla Ice try to become the stars in the present. Therefore, during the morning I see commercials for all of these random musicians and their songs get stuck in my head like the song "My Sharona" (or something like that).

2. My PE class is Intro to Jazz Dance and during the class our teacher plays the same music for our warm up everyday and it is a mixture between rock and jazz. Apparently the technical name for this music is fusion. Well, in one of these warm up songs you can't understand a word the guy says hardly unless you want to lose concentration on your warm up and it has this odd beat so it gets stuck in my head.

3. If this is really a reason, when people mention certain words I associate them with songs so now the song, "She's a Maniac" is stuck in my head. Unfortunately with all of these methods I usually only know parts of the songs so they are not always so fun to get stuck in your head. I will just have a running monologue with myself using the songs, then maybe I will be ok. Wait! does that sound schizophrenic?
