Merlin wants to know why Arthur won't join in the May Day celebrations and when he finds out about what Arthur fears could be a problem Merlin solves it for him. An uncomplicated, fun, hot and happy spring fic.
'Social Mediæ' by angstslashhope (Gen, 5,000 words, crack, g)
Hilarious fic in which Merlin, with the help of magic and some of the indigenous fauna, introduces all manner of modern forms of communication to canon age Camelot.
'Fit to be tied' by angstslashhope (Gwaine/Merlin, 5,000 words, NC-17)
I really enjoyed reading this fic, that involves (mild) bondage and gagging, and like Gwaine I wanted Merlin to both hurry up already and please keep on going so deliciously slow. It was all nicely teasing right up until the surprise turn where the trust issue got a whole new dimension and it became more passionate and more lovely all at the same time. And I love how easy they are again there at the end.

I really loved this eager and proud Arthur, with (older than Arthur) Leon teaching him all kinds of things while growing up. But wait until Arthur feels like applying what he's learned to Merlin! Rawr... *fans self*
'On that last night' by giselleslash (Arthur/Merlin, 9,000 words, modern AU, NC-17)
The warnings this fic comes with were an invitation to me and I really liked this fic, especially with the mutual attraction going on and the tentative way in which they each tried to make this last night count. Right up until the kissing starts and things get steaming hot and I really, really love the way things go from there!
And the promised cliche movie ending is just as sweet and satisfying as I hoped it would be.
'On a dare' by myashke (Arthur/Merlin, 13,300 words, NC-17)
Written for glomp_fest. Merlin confidently accepts a challenge to go without his magic for one week, but will he be able to hold out, or will Arthur win?
This is a deliciously long story that is exactly the kind I love, with warmth, friendship, loyalty, humor, sensuality and passion, with a lovely build of the growing intimacy between Arthur and Merlin. Their first time is delicious and satisfying, the knights are a delight with their teasing fondness for both Arthur and Merlin and the end is so clever!
It's one to bookmark and read again, and I am incredibly pleased that somehow my name is up there in the header, at the start of a fic that fits me like a glove.
'People gonna talk (whether you doing bad or good)' by sophinisba (Freya/Merlin, 3,700 words, modern AU, NC-17)
Freya and Merlin are in a relationship and at a new years party they get it on and then move it to the cellar stairs to have some privacy. I have so much love for this pairing and seeing them in a happier setting is wonderful. I love how sweetly embarrassed Freya still gets about the lust Merlin arouses in her, and I love Merlin's delight. Detailed, dirty, passionate, loving and sweet.

Bradley and Colin are in some sort of relationship. Or not. But neither of them dares to ask what exactly it is they've got for fear of losing what they have. Right up until Colin starts stepping back and it's too much for Bradley to take and he steps forward and they finally work it out in a flurry of passion.

I don't have a gun kink. Don't have a gun squick either, started reading because I was looking for Sherlock fic and was delighted to find fic in this fandom by this writer. Anyway, that's why I started reading. And I kept reading because the way she writes I can always see it in my head, including details I wasn't aware I love but apparently do. And I have to say, she writes some of the most gloriously detailed porn I know and hits a couple of very specific kinks of mine.
It says 'part 1', and there is indeed more in this universe, but it can easily be read as a stand alone (haven't read the other fics in this 'verse yet).
