Mixed bag of Colin goodies

Some (most) of this will probably be links of the 'been there, seen that' variety, but you never know. Right?

All about my mother

YouTube clip from the press night of 'All about my mother', with a wee snippet of Colin (2:06 - 2:12)

Island

A little mention of Island:

Natalie Press, perhaps best remembered here for Red Road, swaps the mean streets of Glasgow for the countryside in the delicately wrought drama Island (***). Adapted from the novel by Jane Rogers, the film focuses on troubled Nikki, who has come from London in search of the woman she believes to be her mother. Press has a magnificent face, which directors Brek Taylor and Elizabeth Mitchell wisely linger on as much as possible. Balancing Press’s passionate acting style is Colin Morgan’s moving portrayal of the islander, Calum, who befriends Nikki. A tale to stay with you.

Interview with the directors of Island with a mention of Colin:

Colin Morgan, who plays Calum, has quite a core fan club off the back of his role in the BBC’s Merlin - what will fans think of his performance in this film?

We’ve been amazed and delighted by Colin’s fans and their support for Island. We’re not surprised by their affection for him, as he could not be a more charming man and intelligent, thoughtful actor. As for the fans’ reaction to the film, we hope it will give them a chance to see just how diverse an actor he is. He was drawn to the part of Calum for that very reason.

A frigging awesome interview with Colin about 'Island' (one of the jobs I had as a student was in Cineworld omg we were colleagues! Kinda. Oh shut up...)

Our Private Life

A picture with a very blurry Carlos is up at the Royal Court Theatre site. It does give a good idea of the set-up of the stage during one of the sessions with the psychiatrist.

Merlin

Colin did two more introductions for season 3 episodes on SyFy:

episode 3x5
episode 3x6

In the April issue of SFX there's a little review of the Merlin series three, volume two dvd. They're very enthusiastic, it gets 4 out of 5 stars (and 3 out of 5 for extras) but I especially loved them for saying this:

We also get a cheeky glimpse of the (possible) future Merlin in "Queen Of Hearts', which showcases Colin Morgan's extraordinary acting talents.
