Mr. RC and I will have to watch it again since we missed so much because we were laughing hysterically through whole parts of it. We may have provided the episode with some inappropriate commentary here and there.
* I'm sorry, but I don't feel any chemistry between Arthur and Gwen. I really want to, but I don't feel it.
* I do feel tons of chemistry between Gwen and Merlin (of the friendship variety) and Gwen and that little house of hers. The moment she had to sit down to let it sink in that she had to leave everything she'd known behind really moved me.
* I love Gwen when she's angry.
* I'd feared watching Merlin wanting to sacrifice himself for Gwen and Arthur unknowingly putting his friend to the stake and the whole drama of almost really dying etc. but man did this work out right! I could see Merlin enthusiastically going for what he thinks is a watertight plan in his ever optimistic way. I loved how he had to get used to this old body. Loved how he took the opportunity of telling Uther and Arthur what he thought of them. Loved how Arthur felt he must know this man somehow. I loved Merlin setting the pyre blazing. And I loved the way he had to cough, wobble and blink back into being young Merlin ♥
* WTF Gwen and Arthur almost kissing in some public corridor after she'd almost been banished and/or put to death because of the first time they'd been caught?!
* Also, ok, Arthur is kind of an asshole to Merlin all this series around, but when he romantically suggests to Gwen he could run away from Camelot to become a farmer and then let Merlin do the hard work I'd like Gwen to at least slap him upside the head and threaten a ban on kisses if he plans to treat her friend like that.
