Capspam for Merlin 2x7 'The witchfinder'
I'll let the caps mostly do the talking, so mostly caps, not a lot of comment. (Even more than usual) heavy on Merlin scenes. Some scenes are not or barely represented because I couldn't bring myself to cap them [/delicate flower]
Merlin, feeling a bit down, finds some comfort in enjoying a bit of recreational magic. And I'm enjoying right along with him, the short moment it lasts.
'But I'm not a witch! Look, no dress or anything! Heh...'
(His hair so softly cradling the back of his neck is frankly the whole point of the second cap a bonus.)
Merlin devastated after Gaius has been arrested.
I love how when the witchfinder makes Gaius confess in front of Uther and the whole court, Arthur keeps a sharp eye on Merlin from the start (even in the background you can keep on seeing him watch Merlin) and is up and on his feet the minute Merlin does exactly what he's been waiting for.
I know the last cap here is blurry, but oh... *clutches heart like Merlin clutches Arthur's arm*
A random crooked pinkie love moment ♥
This scene guys. Really. I can't even. The way Merlin walks straight into Gaius' arms, the tight hug, Gaius trying to convince Merlin to give up, Merlin's refusal to do so, the range of facial expression's Merlin goes through, the way his voice cracks at 'do you want to die?!', the way Gaius clearly has peace with the situation as it is as long as it means Merlin is safe, his determination to make sure Merlin sees it his way, etc. etc. etc.

Team Arthur/Merlin FTW ♥
Deeply painful moment, skillfully delivered fantastic dialog. And the way Gaius dismisses Uther speaks volumes.
We start with Merlin's hands, move to Gaius pressing Merlin with questions which Merlin is trying to dodge until they both start laughing and we end with some extra caps of Merlin's laughing face ♥
